I would make the dog carry-on and that way they can keep each other company and no chance of them getting "separated" etc. If she has plenty of layover time, I'd go with the cheapest flight if your paying for it. How old is she? That's a pretty long trip to be going alone for your first time flying!

how very strange. can't imagine it happening here. i'd be mad, too. sad for the teacher, of course, but closing the entire school??? *but* have a lovely day of extra time with your girls. they are growing so quickly... a bit of extra time for a girly day at home could be nice.
