Hi All!! I had an u/s today and an experienced dr. says that I'm having a girl. He's 80% sure. Has anyone else ever had or heard of someone finding out the sex this early?? I looked online, and the sites said anywhere after 12-13 weeks, the sex can be detected, so according to them I'm not too early to see something...or not see something! LOL

Is this normal?
Published (2009-12-10 19:47:00)
Well apparently it is perfectly normal as at my u/s today my was perfect! Measuring exactly 8 wks with a of 160 bpm! The tech doing the scan even detected slight movement which she said was an excellent sign that all is well. I am so that I am beside myself and don't even mind still being . When I told the NP about what I had been feeling she said that unless I started running a fever that I should just consider it normal to be exhausted...

I know well enough not to clean the litter box and my DH has been deligent about it. However, one of two cats began peeing in front of litter box and i just couldn't let it be till my DH come home 10hrs later. I used groves and just put bunch of toilet papers to soak it up, then i just rinced it by water. I have two cats since 2002, waaay before we started to plan a family. Some literature said i should have immunity by now, and some...

Welcome to FertileThoughts and congratulations! My first thought is that your friend is in a painful place. I totally understand you being hurt, but also try to remember the pain she is going through. I remember when my sister got pg with her 2nd son. She got pg with all 3 on one try, but she specifically started trying early for #2 because of all of my fertility problems and she didn't know if she might have trouble too. It stung badly...

Bleeding with clotts
Published (2009-12-10 14:58:00)
I have great news. I came back from my u/s appointment. It was amazing. I saw the heartbeat and everything. It measured 102. I am so relieved. My doctor saw what looked like another dark "blob". He said it was either a twin that didn't develop or a twin that is a late implanter still growing. Or possibly the source of my bleeding. Thank you all for your encouragement. You all helped me stay sane through this difficult time.

cysts on babies kidney

i'm sorry sweetie. i don't have any personal experience with this but i know someone who went thru something similar. i believe they watched it via u/s and it resolved on it's own. here's a link to a similar question answered by a doctor. i think there's more concern when there are cysts on both kidneys. Re: Kidney cysts - Urology - MedHelp try not to make yourself sick with worry. hopefully it will resolve itself...

I can't remember my number. It wasn't extremely low, but it wa sjust under the normal range. I like to think it had something to do with my weight gain the first time around. But, I also delivered in August, and had a Dairy Queen 2 blocks from my house. Dairy Queen also played a big role in my weight gain... We are close in due dates! Hope you are feeling well!

no need to be embarrassed sweetie things happen. i guess it really depends on your doctor and what his/her practices are. my doc was a real stickler for not prescribing meds unless totally certain they were needed. on the other hand if your doc feels there's any risk to the swab then perhabs they will avoid it. but women have internals during early pg all the time so i can't ...

I'd demand to get in for u/s today. Bleeding is common in pregnancy, but for your own once peace of mind, they should see you. I'm surprised the nurse didn't want you to come in. Like I said, call and demand you come in today for an u/s. If you have to, lie, and say you're feeling light headed, or have had some more spotting, and that you're really stressed about this (that part wouldn't be a lie...

I have no c-section advice since I had a vag delivery, but wanted to let you know my friend's baby was breach at 33 weeks and by 35 weeks, it had turned. It can happen this late. I'm sure you will get some good c-section advice if that is the route that you end up taking.

hi donna! congratulations!!
the exhaustion is totally normal. i remember with my 1st pg almost not being able to function at work. i'd get this horrible overwhelming need to sleep and couldn't even concentrate.
the stuffyness could also be normal as congestion definitely increases with pg. the sore throat and the body aches i'm honestly not sure. do you think you could be combating...

Leo- I'm not sure what to say about your friend. Maybe she just needs some time to deal with her own feelings and she thinks that she is staying away for your sake so you don't see her so upset. IDK just a guess.
I can imagine that would be upsetting. So I am sorry.
Congratulations on your pregnancy

I had TSH done twice at 9weeks and 11 weeks. At Nine weeks,my result was 0.7. My RE said that is fine. then i graduated from RE to OB, at 11 weeks, the bloodwork came back as 0.3. The normal range for 1st trimester is noted as 0.20 to 4.70. Nurse told me today that they will draw blood again at my 16weeks check up and if still low, they might put me on meds. I never worried about it ...

Congrats to you! That is so exciting and wonderful! All of my pregnancies were different in certain ways. I was lucky and didn't have any morning sickness with any of them but there were little things that were different. I do think that multiple pregnancies in the same woman are always different!
Best of luck to you!
