my toy shopping is done... Giddy...
Published (2009-12-02 22:04:00)
Tonight, my Mom and I went out toy shopping. I needed to get my 4 little nieces and my Mom needed to begin shopping for the grandkids. We had so much fun and were able to almost complete my Mom's toy list. Wrapping begins this weekend

Santa
Published (2009-12-02 19:37:00)
We went to see Santa today. The kids each named about a billion things they wanted. Liam's all started with Ben 10, Laini's all started with Princess, and Tyler's all started with Expensive. haha Also, I put tights on my daughter. This is the second time ever, I usually go for leggings under dresses, but she was all fancy and stuff so I gave in and bought some.

Nice job!! The only thing I have left to buy for the kids is a 2 wheel bike for M. I'll get that closer to Christmas so it's easier to hide. We're getting it assembled so I don't want her finding it! I'll be on the lookout for accessories.

Awww. I am sorry it's so tough for him this week. Maybe your DH is right about maybe 2 days a week? Only you know though T-Rex was happy to go back to school today. I kept her home yesterday as a precaution to her fever Monday night, but she seemed great yesterday and today was excited to go....so maybe R will get back into the swing of things, esp with hte fun christmas crafts and songs they will be doing

I'll post pics on SG. R thought we were absolutely at the North Pole. Never phased him that there was no snow. He just loved seeing Santa. He was nearly heartbroken when we didn't get to get out of the train to go see Santa--his eyes filled with tears, he kept asking for Santa. He was sooooo excited when Santa appeared in our train car! I highly recommend it if you have one of these near you. It was so much fun!

J has been doing the same thing this week. Today he actually followed me to the door and tried to escape. No advise here, but I do think J will be going half days during winter break. I was planning on keeping him home with me but not if he's going to cry every morning when i leave him. Mornings are tough enough.

I got dh 2 video games and 2 pairs of pjs already. And I'll fill his stocking with candy and a couple cheapo hats for when he loses one.
I wrapped the games, but them in 1 box, wrapped that box and put that box in another box and wrapped it again. Dh is a sneak and will still try to find out what he got, so I have to be creative with hiding and wrapping his gifts.

It is so much fun, isn't it?!? My Daisy Troop is caroling this Sunday at the town tree lighting. I am excited! Then I am reading to Gs class on Tuesday and the 18th is their class party and sing a long. I think I will take J and leave C with the sitter. He is such a menace right now
I still haven't put the tree up, though. I can't believe it. I am two weeks past when we usually put it ...

I am not sending M on time. I don't want her to be one of the youngest, not so much now, but later as well. If she seems completely bored and unchallenged by then, then I'll reconsider but right now we're going to wait.
yay for getting J in! I need to start thinking about doing the same, athough I know no one is going to tell me how cooperative my kid is. Let me know how it goes ...

Definitely not Friday b/c of recovering from Turkey Day hosting and gathering energy for the reunion and Neilfest.
Fri PM's events will place me on the sofa with gatorade on Sat
So, I am guessing Jack will put it up after work on Sunday. And, then we'll decorate Monday PM after his shift.
I bet M can't wait to see lights in her own house!

I just need one more thing- a Barbie Camper. The stinking thing costs between $65 and $78!!!! It is just like the Barbie bus from when we were kids. I cant believe how much they are charging for it!! I keep waiting for it to go down but so far no luck.
We scored this over the weekend for $20 for C. (I am pretty sure it doesn't go for as much as this retailer has it for)

Oh D....my heart is breaking for Jack! What a hard time in life go be going through all this. I am so thankful that he has you and the kids. I know he doesn't know me, but give him a hug for me! I know you will be there for him as hard as it does get. It is so hard to see our men like this. I wonder if this will ever happen to Yancy? He has always been such a rock, but hasn't had to many ...
