Hello all I now have another question! I have some AVI files on my LAN but can't figure out why some folders give me a thumbnail preview, and others, just icons? Please see the screenshot ... ... as an example. Both folders are on the same network share and I checked the AV properties of them both, they are all "XVID MPEG-4" so it's not that it's a different or missing codec. To answer my own question.... I don't know what I did but it's fixed. I've been checking for dns problems and such and I edited/cleaned up the /etc/hosts file. So somewhere along those lines it got fixed. Thanks anyway.

Unless they've changed things, the server edition was tied to a Windows configuration management system. The workstation version worked on local systems, but VMs did not have the capability to migrate from server to server.

Well - is it ? Does hal automount your ntfs ? Use the "mount" command with no options to see what is mounted. If you double-mount a file system and write anything (even time access updates) from both your FS will get very toasty.
