Compliment her and help her around. Ask her if you can carry her books to the next class or maybe open a door for her. I am never shy, and things seem to work for me, so I would say maybe write her a poem. I wrote the guy I like a poem and he loved it. Become her friend, get to know her. Yes, I've been there. I've been there more times than I'd care to have been there. It usually doesn't happen without the help of friends. If you don't outright ask a friend to tell him, if you just tell a group of friends that you like him (one at a time, of course) he'll hear it eventually. Alternately, you could become friends with his girlfriend. Better yet, become his friend....
