I am also BRAND NEW to this. I have created my first application and now want to monetize it.  To be honest, I am totally f'in lost with all this eCP[whatever] speak.  It's like you guys have invented a new language.  Personally, I am with one of the previous posters who said, they want to "set it and forget it".  Now I realize this approach is a bit short-sighted and truly...

Plenty of developers have integrated payment companies such as PayPal into their applications. I guess it would boil down to you making your users trust you and said payment providers. Regards, Mike

Excellent post. I would say though that i'm surprised to hear that you generate a 33/33/33 ratio for banners/direct pay/cpa. Speaking personally, i find that users detest CPA "offers" (they get scammed & spammed), banners only generate small amounts of income unless you plaster them everywhere (which may affect user experience), but they have no problem whatsoever with paying directly. Anyone having this problem where the ad network can't scrape your page content and therefore post PSA ads instead? Need ideas and a solution desperately. My apps are making no money. Here's an example: http://apps.facebook.com/basketball-contest/
