Liquid lubes tend to attract more dust I would have thought. I,m just against wet lubes in locks.

I totally agree, the wet lubes will attract dust and you need to keep those tiny tumblers and springs from gumming up. But for now I think he probably needs to first get it "ungummified"

Actually, looking at the map it's more likely to be Oxfordshire , I was on the A338 from Hungerford (a nice bendy & fairly smooth road) and I think that's the hill over Wantage . Still, I had been blatting along the A4 through Newbury earlier so I guess it's in the right general direction!

Down South ey, that explains it, the only time I can remember going South is when I passed through to France in July!

I went to one a couple of weeks ago. Bit of a disappointment really, but I did go on my own and only talked to a few people I already knew (one who I used to teach and one who sold me my FZ6). Coupla pics below:-

I think its a design problem .
My 04 was terrible (I could hardly get it started),my 08 seems much better but not perfect.
Ive found WD40 and patience seems to be the only cure.

Always wear them, Hein Gericke for me. They work and are very interchangeable.

I ride on whichever side the other rider is not on. If he/she is right down the middle, I'll usually fade right. Never directly behind though. Not safe at all.

Glad everything turned out okay! Roundabouts are rediculous! They are being taken out of many places. I learned many many years ago long before I could drive do not trust a turn signal. Numerous people are so oblivious that they are even driving they never look down to see their speed let alone make sure the signal went off.

Mobile Camera Question
If, in theory, I was riding too fast on the motorway, and there was a mobile speed camera on the opposite side of the carriageway, would that camera be able to get me?
obviously this is all just hypothetical.
Cheers
