HELP! Need to know about this...

I've actually inquired about having that done to another jacket with a leather shop here and was told it would be really expensive to have done. The reason? The guy said he'd have to find a zipper of the correct length and fit and, for him anyway, would be hard to do. I've always heard about people having that done, but, to anyone that's actually had a 360 zipper installed in a jacket, what did it cost you? I'd love...

I agree, they still reduced damage greatly. if there was enough force to snap it clean off, thats force dissapated into the slider; not a part of the bike. There have been enough crash tests with them to warrant them just as good quality (with the same amount of freak accidents) as the $80 ones. nonetheless, im sorry to hear about your crash

I'm assuming you already have the pants you'd want the jacket to fit to? If that's the case, take them to a crafts store, and ask one of the people there to match the zipper. My only question is to what part of the pants and jacket is the mating zipper attached. (Liner, or outer leather). If it's the shell leather, that will take a sewing machine designed to work with leather to stitch, and you'd want double or...

If you have Teknic pants, it should match up. I would think you could just ask the person with the jacket if they can find the zipper at the bottom and how far it goes around. It doesn't seem that hard to me to look for a zipper, even if they are a non-motorcycle person. Can't hurt to ask them!

Awesome Boneman! Nice to know it works well enough to survive in the Great White North. I think, with a pair of heated gloves and boot liners, I'd be set for all but snow days through the winter! I can appreciate the collar comments as well. I hate having things constricted around my neck but I've been doing it regardless so that it breaks in and wears to fit my neck and head movements. It really is an amazing jacket!

Jacket and pants arrived today. Went for a 200km ride in 5 degree C. This suit is definitely warm. Think I'm going to like it better than my Aerostitch. Thanks for alerting us to this great deal.

I don't know about this jacket, but when I shop for something, I look at several websites that offer the same product, so I can get reviews and more specifications on it. It's worth a try to look at motorcycle superstore, new enough, knee draggers, and also the teknic website for info. (You should be able to compare the pictures to see which model it is.) Good luck!

I totally agree! I saw that jacket and was waffling because I can hear it now.... "You bought ANOTHER riding jacket???" It's a great place to keep your eye on. They come up with the best deals!

Here is how I see it. All helmets are DOT and SNELL approved so that takes care about safety factor (USA, Canada). So what is there remained and is so important? Here is my priority list and I will explain later:

Glad you took the right path
On a side note, I've seen so many horror videos and stories about people getting runover by trucks/semis and either dieing at the scene or losing limbs and getting ****ed up for the rest of their (now pretty much miserable) lives. Glad your buddy was so inconceivably lucky to have made it out in one piece and is now fully recovered
Also, just curious, did ...

You can get a hybrid jacket if you really like the look and or feel of leather. I have several jackets, all in some version of 600D textile. I have read some studies that say that modern textiles are approaching and/or are about to surpass the abrasion resistance of leather. If you need a all around jacket, look for ones for removable liners. It's going to be up to you to decide in what ...

Lookin like you stepped out of a cold pool in that.....
Sorry, couldn't be helped.
Excellent choise, Dianese is pricey as hell, but damn worth it if you can afford it. Glad you like the fit, hope you never need them.

I used the EXO 700 for 2 years and really liked it. I wear glasses so I have to use the tinted visor during the day. The only draw back was having to bring a clear shield with me if I planned on being out after dark. I solved that problem with EXO 1000, which I love. Putting glasses on through the helmet is a pain at first but you get used to it. If you have the cash I would get a helmet with ...

From what I have read it appears the new testing has to do with different helmet sizes being tested differently.. A bigger helmet using more weight in the drop or something like that.. It kinda makes sense
