Hi, My name is Jeff and I have just got my first bike. Its a 2005 FZ6 in blue with 3700 miles on the clock. I live in Northern Ireland so dry days are few and far between. I will be out and about at the slightest sign of a dry line on the black stuff

Thanks Misti. Good call on too close to the tank, I think it is like a security blanket thing! Next track day I'll work on position and see what happens.

Misti, you've hit one out of the park for Dennis. Thanks! I find what when I am riding and it could be either heavy traffic or carving corners, if I feel any soreness at all, I immediately know to relax those muscles. When I am having a great day on the bike, I feel just as relaxed and rested when I get off as when I got on. That is when I know I let the bike do the work for me while I merely nudged her in all the right directions....

Glad you are ok - that sucks. However, I would think that a crash like that would prob open your eyes and make you a better rider. I wonder, does an experience like that add more fear or will it make you more brave - like a battle scar?? When you get some time on a newer FZ6 let us know how it compares with the older model. Gook luck in the future

good review, the fz6 was also my first "big bike" having only ridden 125ccs in the past. i agree its easy to live with as a begginer, not threatning and too powerful like all the dealers were telling me.
