if you get a set that has the adapter plates you can. but that goes with any full fairing that i have seen. the fairing on just about all of the kits covers the motor mount hole. no biggie, just get the lil adapter plates that come with some kits.

FZ6r Compatible Clip-ons

Modification may not have to be so drastic. There's ConvertiBars & HeliBars . You can also try to find regular clip-ons (like the Vortex's I have on my 05 FZ6) that have a "rise" built-in and install them under the top triple.

just put my Two-Brothers on and they are good looking, as well as add to performance. However, they are loud...even with dB killers. Wish i would have got a set of the older Scorpians with the turned down snorkel...I just like those. And they are quieter. Oh well. Maybe I'll trade someone.

Hi all, just joined the forum after picking up my new '09 FZ6 Fazer S2 ABS! So far so good, the bike's great but already I'm thinking of fitting a lower fairing. My question is this.....Does the Yamaha OEM lower fit the 2009 model? I notice there were some changes to the upper fairing on 2007 models which caused a little confusion at first, so I spoke to my local Yam dealer who ...

hi guys, was wondering if anyone could shed a bit of light on a question of mine. Have recently gutted the cat on my bike with an Arrow down pipe when someone mentioned fitting of an ignition advancer to the bike to get better power output from the engine. I know that it varies how much more you get depending on how the bike is set up from the factory. has anyone done this mod and if ...

So just got my stainless scorps mounted, PCIII with the scorpion map, did the airbox mod and put in a K&N. I compared the scorpion map to one from Hellgate, and scorpion is waaaay richer ... so I started with that first and get back it down. I'm getting some backfire on deceleration - which I though was a "lean" condition - but I can't imagine going richer than the scorp map. Is ...

I will be making this adapter In a bit over a week to see if it works. If it does is anyone else interested in it perhaps? The adapter bolts up to the factory handlebar clamps and provides a 43mm drop cylinder that allows for the clip ons to be mounted. This arrangement would allow for a greater selection of clip ons that work with our bikes.

I really wanted to purchase one of their pre-made seats to save some money but I need a lowered seat. I'm guessing it is about 1/2 to 1 inch lower than stock. I selected some blue accents and was expecting a close match to the Yamaha blue and to my surprise, it matches the bike perfectly!! I also added a cargo net to the rear section to store the misc small items I carry. Here are some ...

Hello there guys. Do any of you know of tank decals - specially - for the FZ6? I´m talking about side decals which I don´t have here in Brazil. It´s that I saw a picture hanging on the wall of a Yamaha reseller, and the bike had a decal which I was told belonged to imported models - from where, I don´t know! It was on the sides of the tank, an FZ6 stylish logo. Then I thought to myself that ...

Hi All, I just fitted a Targa FE to my 2005 FZ6 and I like the look of it on the bike. My question is the spiral wrap that protects the wiring is 'really' close to the underside of the exhaust can. In one spot it actually touches. I have fitted it per the instructions and would like to know does it get hot enough to possible melt or damage the spiral wrap? The OEM wires run ...

Well first off I suppose I should start by saying I have been lurking around this forum for months now lol. Reading countless threads about so many mods.. Done a few myself also.. But next Friday when I get my bonus from work, I plain to order a FZ1 Bar for my 08 FZ6. I like the aggressive stance they put you in over the stock bars. My main question is, is it some then someone with basic ...

Here's a good question to everyone: How many miles did you put on your moto, before starting to mod it from stock? These are miles that YOU have put on it, so if you got your bike with 5000 miles on it (used) and have put on 30 miles, before adding a windscreen, then those are your 30 miles before modding. Not 5300 miles. This does not include the tank / swingarm sticker removal. Me ...

33BHP restriction, FZ6 - 25 new posts
Started 1 week ago (2009-06-26 11:08:00)  by haylo
I got a FZ6 2 months ago, passed my test 2 weeks ago, it's an A2 restricted test, meaning I'm restricted to 33BHP. The dealer restricted the bike for me for free, today I removed the restriction, just to see what it was like.. All I can say is 'OMFG'. The power is insane, no-wonder under 21's have to be restricted here. The power that is available would be absoluteley deadly to rider that's just...

Bag sag no more..... - 17 new posts
Started 1 week ago (2009-06-26 12:58:00)  by Damnitsjeff
Hey all here is how I "De-sagged" (not a word but it will do) my soft saddle bags. Went to the local farm store and bought a flat piece of stock. (aluminum) Cut two pieces (about 8 inches a piece) did a little bending on the work bench. Drilled a hole for mounting and sprayed with rubberized coating (which I don't recommend. I am going to try truck bed coating next) I have the Rumble Concepts FE...

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the '06 seat and the '07. The reason I ask is when I go to the Corbin website I find that the styles offered for the '04-'06 FZ6 and the '07-'09 are very different. I own a '07 and I want the '06 seat. I have had Corbins on my other bikes and I really like them a lot. I called Corbin to see if they could make a seat that looked like the '06 for ...

Ok, over the last month I have looked over all the different options for modding my headlight. There are several great options, but to be honest I am a lazy SOB, and want something more simple.
