Ahhh that sucks, but at least it was only minor and your ok! Gotta watch for that gravel, its a real killer! I had a small 'incident' when I first started riding similar to this and got a small tattoo on my shoulder as a reminder that being overconfident can be very dangerous on a bike. (not that I'm encouraging tattoos unless your into them )

so i went in the showroom and sat on the fz1. i really like it. except when i went searching for the oil filter. for some reason it's behind a header (it's about the same location where our fz6 starter motor is) so you can't use the cap wrench. i think you can only use a strap wrench or a piler style wrench. even with that there's seems very little room. what's up with that? it makes me realize ...

I have riden everything from a home made scooter to a Harley Road King and this bike, while only a 600..............becomes an animal after 8000rpms . So, just a word to the wise...do not under rate this bike..................

I usually lane split and filter ahead of all the traffic at lights. When traffic is stopped on the freeway I usually ride on the shoulder about 30mph. With all the upgrading and talk of upgrading going on around here, I finally got serious about investigating a new bike. So I got my FZ6 about 3 months ago. From what I can tell the rear spring is set to factory settings. I am 5'10" and only weigh about 125 lbs. Do you think i should set the spring to a lower or higher setting. I also keep the tires at factory recommended pressure.

Now that I am 21 my plans are to obtain my concealed weapon carrying permit. Does anybody on here carry a gun with them on the bike? I'm just curious as I'm researching all of the aspects that go along with carrying a weapon. I think it would be really hard to properly carry a gun while on the bike especially while wearing gear. I had always put in premium in the past. I just bought an 05 FZ6 and the manual says regular is ok. Just wanted to get an idea of what you all do, and the benefits if any. Thanks for your input.

Take the long way around when you are out on the bike. For eg I was out early today and had to make a run to Wally world I could have just gone the shorter route but took the longer one just to ride longer Does anybody else do this too or am I just retarded

Hi All, Newbie to the FZ stuff here and been away from all bikes for about 13 years. Just picked up an early 2005 registered bike with what I am told is a genuine 2400 miles on it! It's on the documents as a FZ6 Fazer. Has an upper fairing but no lowers. I don't know whether it was a 2004 model out late or a 2005 model early in the year. Is there anywhere a pictorial or at least idiot ...

Well , I did it, sort of. I just phoned in a deposit on...a 2009 blue FZ1! I just couldn't get the bike out of my head. I also decided that I'd go with the '09 over the '08 if I could get a deal on that. I offered my bike + $4000 and we settled on my bike + $4100.
