When i did my first exhaust, i went on youtube and watched videos of trucks with different exhaust systems on. i got to hear a few different set-ups which helped me make my final decision. Also, most exhaust makers have sound files on their websites....I know flowmaster does

Subscribed. I kinda have the same thing going on but instead i have a DI/DO thrush welded muffler. So i assume you have stock headers/intake and cats? Usually from what i hear if you change up to LT Headers with an Cold Air Intake it should increase the sound. Is it not loud in the cab or just in general? I can kinda hear mine in the cab but i want it to be more louder inside and out and...

Yeah, it will sound better and give you some mild gains but if you are planning on splicing in a muffler to the factory tubing I would opt to have whatever brand of muffler you choose to be made out of stainless steel if you plan on keeping it for a while. I think some Flowmaster mufflers are offered in SS. Personally I'm not a fan of the flowmaster sound mated to our trucks but it's still ...

I have true dualls on my truck in my sig with flowaster 40 series and I am also running two mufflers and I really don't have that much drone in the cab

If you have a c-clamp then put it on the pipes then measure the diameter, but i'm pretty sure it's 3" that's what rebelbowtie always says.

what year of truck do you have? If you have o2's before and after the cat, then yes he is mostly right. If you want to continue to run no, or gutted cats, then you need a tune to get rid of the after o2's.

my brother used to work in a custom exaust shop and i watched him gut a few idk how the 04 6.0 setup works but usually u just take the cat off put something sturdy inside the cat on the filter part n start beating the he\\ out of it with a hammer, and then of course make sure that the cat is clean inside before reinstalling it
