Parts-Express not only has them, but also has a variety of HT amps that would drive them well.

pull speaker lead off, and hook up a known working speaker, isolate if it's amp, or subwoofers.

Human hearing supposedly goes from 20hz up to 20000hz. (low frequency to high) I believe that is the bass boost frequency selector. Google says that amp has an 18db bass boost that is selectable. So if you set it at 45hz, you will have more low bass than if you set it at 90hz. It really depends on the slope of the curve though. I would set it where it sounds the best to your ears.

In my opinion, get a set of 6.5" Alpine Type-R Components an amp and forget about the sub. The speakers pound! When you get some extra cash, then add a nice sub if you still want it. I did this in my previous GM vehicle, and didn't even bother with the sub after the Alpine's were installed. It's all in your personal taste though.

The switch looks like it's in an obscure spot. Why didn't you put the switch in between the fuse and the first split? Looks like when you turn on the switch it blocks the juice and sends it back to the fuse. Also where are you hooking up the positive wire to?

I don't know if it should be fixed. Our 2003 Z71 does the same. I actually think it's a feature. We stuck in a new head unit, and since then it no longer does it - which I do miss.

Are you asking if you could disable the remote start function? If so, yes. There is always an input to defeat the remote start such as a hood pin. Just apply the appropriate signal or lack of signal to that wire.
