Couldn't think of a better ending of the season! Glad to see Novak and Daniel/Nenad win after crappy fall seasons they had.

I can’t believe I forgot to post this yesterday. I’m slipping. Janko the actor Quote: Our top tennis player Janko Tipsarevic plays the role of himself, appearing in one episode as a failed tennis player who has to improve his forehand. He actually needs a professional help, but through a series of interesting events, he manages to improve his forehand and goes on. His psychotherapist (Jelena Stupljanin) helps him a lot,...

Marat I don't blame him for being in Miami; I wish I were somewhere warm too. The Elenas and Dinara look gorgeous! That said, Anna C. looks...weird. I have no idea what Myskina was thinking when she picked that outfit out. In other news, some people at Tennisforum are saying that Tatiana Golovin is retiring

They said something like 40,000 people left Tiger Stadium at the half! LOL! They missed the greatest comeback in LSU history, according to some people. I don't know if I would call it the greatest because the game itself wasn't that important but it was one amazing comeback.

Italian girls were incredible. The girl who came in second I actually thought was better than the winner, but didn't have the best short program. There is no doubt that Italy totally dominates this sport, in just about every discipline too. I heard last night that Italy has 80 pairs teams Australia on the other hand has none Judging is as absurd as ever, Italians hold the US down, the US reciprocates, Brazil puts their skaters at the top,...

I woke up this morning and was amazed to see Svetlana beat Li. And Caroline really must have wanted to get to Madrid because she also lost in doubles.

NCAA football opens the weekend of 8/30, with mostly Big Boys versus creampuffs. Well, hello there Southeast Missouri State. But then it gears up with some early powerhouse match-ups that will shake things out somewhat. Biggest among them: Ohio State versus Southern Cal on Sept. 13. Winner has the inside track in the BSC race. If the Buckeyes win, who will be the SEC team to...

I watched some of the matches in Sweden and the Czech Republic this past weekend. Sounded like the Swedish crowd was more into it than the Czech crowd (then again, Rangers vs. Lighting instead of the Penguins, can you blame them? ). That new TB team does look like an interesting mix of players, though, and you know who the new coach is. And there must be a God, because I noticed ...

I looked and I can't find any threads dedicated to baseball. So I'm starting a thread for anyone to discuss what's going on with their favorite teams as the season progresses. I'll start things off with my glee over the Cubs amazing comeback win today. Ted Lilly had a very rough outing, not even lasting 3 full innings. The Cubs fell behind 8-0 and 9-1 before suddenly charging in the 6th ...

The announcement was made Monday and will be one of the first major non hockey sporting events at the only a few years old arena in the Soo. Last year's Cdn Jr's were held at the Soo Curling Club. Here's hoping this is the beginning of more major non hockey sporting events (I'm looking at you Northern Ontario Section and Skate Canada!! ) to come to the North. I was so excited when I ...
