I imagine these mentoring thing is more like the veterans giving the young ones pep talks, sharing their experiences to help them deal with competions, etc. It all sound very nice, warm and fuzzy on the surface but in reality, I think it's all a bunch of B.S. Those pep talks aren't going to really help these skaters perform any better. It's like when Frank said "Undaunted courage" to either Michelle or Evan...

I had the same worry about repeating the 2a if the attempt at the 3a was called "UR". But I was told by another FSU poster that for purposes of rules about repeating jumps, the jump counts as an underrotated triple axel, not as 2a. She only gets 3.5 points for the UR 3a, same as though it were a 2a , but it would not be counted as a 2a for purposes of the "don't repeat an element" rule. So, the problem...

PJ can you really separate the two? I think Shen & Zhao worked long and hard to become the very extraordinary team that they are. I think they prove that skaters with good technical skills can learn to be artistic too. Shen & Zhao didn't just learn how to LOOK artistic - they embody it.

I've looked, but so far there is no skater listing for BC Sectionals.
ETA: The start orders will be posted on Wednesday, Nov 11 on this site:
http://www.skatinginbc.com/Content/C...%20Results. asp
Maybe then we will know if Mira is going to compete at Sectionals.

It was already some time in the air, but now officially released as notification on the federation's website, that Rotterdam is candidate to host Worlds 2012. The event should take place in the Ahoy sportshall, which is the venue of a lot of events e.g. an international tennis tournament.

I like D/D but I'll be surprised if they end up on the podium at all. IMO, the other top teams are a little more predictable.
