No really good shots of the '50. That was a sweet truck. Got it from Minnesota with a cracked engine block and heads. Had it shipped out here and dropped a 244 CI Flathead into it backed up by a 4 speed spur box, granny low and 4.88 open rear. I miss that truck too, but I didn't have the funds at the time to finish it the way I'd have liked. Ran it with open manifolds for awhile around the property. Ahhh, nothing sounds like a...

hi... theres a few good offroad centers, but nothing like what you have....not enough open space and to many farmers with shot guns a few of us are going to kirton offroad centre on the 27th dec.. i will take a few pics and try to post them....hopeing to try out new 4" lift and 35"bfg muds....paul

Welcome to FSB. Personally I prefer 78/79's because they came with solid front axles & like the body style. Lots of folks swapped solid axles into later models too. And the go-fast guys in the desert like the TTB's. They're all good, just depends on your preference, or which one you find first with the best price. Welcome to the site I had my '79 burn down on me so I know how it feels to not be able to do any thing. It had to be one of the worst moments for me to have to watch it go up in flames but no one was hurt so I guess it turned out OK.
