Good to Know on the cordless route. ain't it funny how 120v @ 20 amps on most wall oulets is the standard and yet the best impact wrenches are pnuematic or cordless? I mean WTF I never did get that? Oh well who cares. I'm just sayin. I think I'm ranting. That's all. Seriously.

I wouldnt go thinner than 1/8 inch welding stick. 6010 is a great rod to learn with, you will have to learn how to controll the puddle rely fast with that rod. Get some leathers, it throws a lot of fire. 7018 is another great rod and is easy to weld flat if thats how you are welding. People control the puddle diferant and no 2 welds look alike.

No, I'm not hooking it up to the dryer plug.....
(Seems to be a popular question.)
Just bought a 180 Lincoln.
1) Need an extension cord.
I came up with some 10/4 braided wire. Not gonna be enough is it? Need to go about 50ft.
2) Would like to have 2 outlets for it. Am I going to be able to come from ...

its not corded but I have a dewalt cordless one and it works pretty well.
There were a few times it didnt seem like it wanted to break the bolt free.
But it did everytime but once. And i had to use a 2 foot breaker bar and a
hammer to get that one loose. But ones I couldnt even budge with a ratchet.
It took 2 seconds with an impact
