He was in his thirtys it was his truck, he said he only uses it for towing a fifth wheel. and yea, im glad i got the rear e locker. = wonder how difficult it is to get some lockers for the fronts...that should be something else ford should think about putting on the fx4's.

well im gonna go out on a limb here. If you really want something that can take a beating you are gonna be putting money into it. Probably more money that you will want to spend.
1. Suspension 4 link front and rear
2. 42" Michelin XML's (millitary tires) very heavy will help against punture resistance.
3. Cut fenders, you dont want so much lift that you are top heavy (id say you want ...

you should have others chiming in here soon to help confirm or correct the info if its wrong. So heres my thoughts
1. shift on the fly at any speed including 0 for 4X4 HI
2. for 4X4 LO you should be stopped with your foot on the brake and trans in nuetral before attempting to shift into 4LO. (not positive on the 2010 models, but about 99% sure)
3. best time to use locker is any ...

I wouldn't mind going, but my trans took some damage the last time out when the driveshaft hit the pan. I've been dragging my feet on ordering the parts. On top of that I think I've got to go to Brazil sometime next month.
