Hi, Have you figured this out yet? What OS is it? I know you say it works in the laptop, but have you tried a different mic in your PC?  When you say you tried the sliders, did you check that your soundcard is the one chosen (I found that sometimes using "Windows default" doesn't work). If you run dxdiag, does it find anything? Have you checked both Windows sound properties as well as any program that may have been...

I'll keep it simple: I finally move my gaming area from the laundry room (I'm not going to go into the "why" on that part) into a wider room in my basement. Yea I've actually tried all those things.  It recognizes the soundcard. It shows up in the device manager and that dxdiag thing and both claim that "the device is working properly", and I can hear sound coming through the headset when I plug it in, it's just the mic that doesn't work for some reason.  And I can also assure you I have checked and unchecked every box, and messed with every slider.
