yeah that is a good link on the stove...not where I bought mine but they have all the various ones there. It is an awesome stove. I can stand on it and jump up and down with no worries! Gadget helped me this morning, explained things and answered my questions. I understand things now much more clearly, he is a great help! I ordered a new 2.20 pulley from him and also the tensioner pulley. I like the looks of their tensioner pulley, added...

Toyota is sure putting a lot of energy into the 5th Gen. This is good for 4Runners and Toyota in general. But it continues to make me think the rumors about the FJC being discontinued may be true. Go Team Toyota!

Published (2009-11-04 22:37:00)
I won a bogus dry filter for my 05' Tacoma's Cold Air Intake a bit ago on ebay and the seller was bust, it was on a lead from a forum post ( not this forum ). Now I am wondering if there even is an AEM dry filter for it. I currently rotate two TRD Oil/Air filters and would love a dry one to swap in if I know I am going to be in some serious dirt for any length of time. Any one know if there is one for the TRD CAI / 4.0 V6 / 1GR? Or...

A lot of guys have made similar racks for their trucks, i don't know about that specific one though.
What do you want to haul? This is my particular setup.
I can remove the basket and add other attachments to the bars for bikes or whatever. I was easy to make and is really pretty light weight.

This is the PlusNut that Yakima uses with their tracks

For a similar application Thule uses M5 'flare nuts' (and M5 25mm bolts).

It sells here for about $34,000. You're on your own with the lift, fender flares and big tires.

I really like the way Land rover uses the space in the back of its series vehicles, same with pinzgauer. These trucks can carry cargo with the seats folded up(or down for the pinzy) and then can be configured easily to carry folks.
This would work well in situation where you have to carry a handful of people a short distance, and want to keep your cargo area clear.
I've always been ...

When I lived in Connecticut, I had a set of 285/75-16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 4Runner. I also had a rear Lockrite installed. They did just fine in the snow and ice. Braking distance was acceptable considering the conditions. I found that I never had an issue getting anywhere safely.
When we moved to California, I put them on my 05 Rubicon and went on a snow wheeling trip up in the ...

Glad to hear it. Not sure what shop built the 4runner. Could have been one of the rare factory Toyota builds, but more likely a local shop built it in OC.
I know one of the other drivers is a Toyota engineer so it looks like it may be an in house operation.

I have the ICON UCAs and while I do not intend to do any maintenance on them, one item you may be interested in is that two of the eight twelve point bolts on the arms snapped in half last winter. Luckily I was able to screw them out the bottom. I replaced them all with ARP stainless steel header bolts from Summit. Wish I could find the receipt with the part #, alas it is somewhere in my filing ...

HOLY %^&*!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I've been a subscriber for oh 10 years and I've never seen that truck. their UA Taco is far and away the coolest custom they've ever done(all it needed was a diesel and it would have been perfect IMO) but I never knew they made a tundra too. Odd cause Petersens is a big fan of multi stage/issue build lay outs.
Edit: ya know as I'm typing this, it occurs to ...

My personal opinion of reuseable filters are:
1- No HP advantage. Perhaps some dyno a little better, but I couldn't tell any difference.
2- No filtering advantage. In fact, most reuseable filters are known to be much worse than OEM.
3- Financial advantage? At $40-60 a pop, it would take about 80-100k miles of use to see any benefit. And even then, I'd rather put in a fresh brand new filter...

here's my 88 4cyl 5spd. Its dead right now, but Im in the process of pulling the old engine out (cracked block) and putting another 22re in. As far as I can figure it had a bad temp gauge and overheated. The block cracked and the head was warped. I just cant give up on it so Im rebuilding it.
Its sitting on 31's BGF all terrains and has a 2" rear shackle to combat the famous 4runner rear sag....
