A mining town in BC also took the Bavarian theme route, Kimberley. The theme shopping area is not a big as Leavenworth's. It does though have an adjacent ski resort.

We had in interesting encounter with a big horn sheep on our way up to Wild Horse Window. My wife had no sooner commented that we had been seeing quite a bit if deer or sheep sign, but hadn't seen any wildlife, when we looked up and saw a big horn sheep crossing our path. On the way back down we saw what may have been the same guy crossing back the other way. Wild Horse Window is a pretty cool alcove with a big hole in the roof that kind...

I was a bit concerned when we parked and notices the beautiful porch and steps. But once we entered and introduced ourselves the staff was super cool about showing off all the accessible features and their willingness to make accommodations.

I'd say March 8th, but then again, my wife will be in Sac, CA then, so I won't have anything to do.
And I should be a HAM operator by then too, so that would be extra fun.

My parents live in Gold Bar and from what they've told me, Leavonworth isn't too far from there. They've mentioned "Leavonworth, it's a small German town" a few times. Good stuff! I'm sorry to say that I haven't been up there since my folks moved there a few years back.

Ran this with the AZVJC on Saturday. We picked up the trail somewhere about 50 miles outside of Globe. We had about a dozen rigs with a good mix of TJ's, XJ's as well as a sweet GC and JK. Great group of people with great weather. There are alot of side trails and hiking opportunities that I would like to go back and check out later.
