I'll check it out though to see what they've got now. It really depends on your shoe...

Yup. My dry cleaner does a lot of alterations for me at very reasonable prices - I had a skirt altered a couple of weeks ago for only 3,000 won!

I actually have pretty small feet, US size 6, but they're wide so I usually bump up to a 6 1/2. In Korea I'm 235 and have them stretch the toe area out (which helps but still isn't the best really). I'll check some stuff out this weekend, thanks everyone!

there's a store in Hongdae called Beetle Juice. the owner sells her own designs alongside stuff she gets from distributors. she just started selling boots, Docs and whatnot. thing is, she is catering to a range of women (otherwise she'd prolly go out of business) so the styles aren't all rugged gothy stuff. plus she speaks English. if i weren't outside the range of K-women's shoe size, i'd look seriously at...

speaking of Uniqlo, i have a funny story when they first opened in NYC, they only had a small test store while they were getting their big store ready, i went and tried some things on but found that i had to wear a smaller size than i normally do in jeans, when i asked why, the salesgirl told me that they are specially making clothes for the American market and so on the first entry into the market, they vanity sized more than normal!!

My mom has "fixed" some jeans for me... they suck. Not comfortable. Don't look good. Can't wear them. They need to be put together right the first time.

The general idea is that the higher the price the higher the quality of the product. Obviously there are exceptions, but the general principle stands. Unfortunately I've heard that isn't the case in Korea. I tend to buy pretty cheap clothes here but they only need to last me a few months before the seasons change anyway, so I haven't worried too much, but I'm in desperate need of shoes that ...

Buying jeans....need help! Ok, being a western chick I am reduced to buying jeans online rather than here with all the skinny minnies in KOrea. Now, I have just normally tried 'em on in the shops & bought what looked good & felt comfy....meaning I'm at a bit of a loss when faced with all the different cuts, styles, ribbons & whistles that are presented as options when buying online....

I went looking for a curling iron and a straightener today (yeah, I like variety,) but got flummoxed by the range of prices and the brands. Available: Braun, Phillips, Babyliss, Vidal Sassoon Price range: $30 - $120 I know that ceramic straighteners are best, but not much else. Braun makes a curler that includes a steam function, which seems cool. I don't know what the difference between ...

So I need to get jeans as I have lost some weight and the ones I brought do not fit at all. I was thinking Coex mall, American Apparel in Gangnam or Itaweon (but where in Itaweon). thanks Oh, I would say size 8 American which I am thinking Coex mall would probably be a bad bet unless someone knows of a specific store

Here's a head- scratcher. I went to Itaewon this weekend to look for some cozy sweaters. I stopped in at Victory Mall (is that what it's called?) and browsed around. I found a sweater I liked, and tried it on. It was labelled a medium. It fit a bit too snugly. My boyfriend volunteered to find a larger size, but a salesgirl overheard and piped up: "We don't have waeguk size. Just medium." ...

I was listening to a Health and Fitness radio show, and the host (Jillian Michaels) was ranting about cancer and ways to prevent it. She pointed out some known carcinogens that appear in various hair care products, which got me thinking about the things I put on my face every day, and how little I know about their contents. http://www.cbc.ca/consumers/market/f.../products.h tml The CBC ...

But anyway, today I look at my face and I have zits all over my face, I look like a fucking lepar. I guess I did not rub the oil off my face well enough. Where do I get zit cream, at the pharmacy? Is there a perfume you ladies like that you can't get here in sparkling? A friend of mine is looking for a gift for his daughter.
