Right, the more expensive something is to make the more you have to make sure it's going to be a success before you sunk $100 million into it. Thus, the movie trend of using big stars over and over and using themes which will only appeal to mass audiences and therefore be somewhat dumbed down. BUT, the games industry does have one saving grace: they're downloadable. Because it's possible for a single individual to create a game...

I got fiber but I'm capped at 30/30mbit. It is extremely expensive to upgrade to the 50/50mbit package for just 20mbit more, but soon they will be raising it to 100/100mbit, and I also hear rumours about 175/175mbit but I can't even imagine how expensive that would be. Everyone that uses the same ISP as me though got 100/100mbit already internally on the network.

I'm actually not sure. I'll guess it's cable since I don't think we have fiber in this part of the country yet. I'm using the same network as my universety college which of course needs a huge bandwidth to support all the students.

We played Hard Rain last night in VS and damn, is that one crazy set of maps. I absolutely love the rain effects and how it kicks up to a complete downpour whenever it feels like it. The flooding in the area is also a nice touch, and you can totally feel the difference in movement through the water... it's more of a floaty feel and a bit slower, just like you were actually slogging through the water. Great campaign.
