Early Holiday Sale on Steam
Published (2009-11-25 16:39:00)
I'm waiting for an outlet like GoGamer to post a $300 (or less!) PS3 slim bundled with 2 games but it looks like I'll be freezing my ass off outside of Gamestop at 3:00 AM on Friday morning. I should of borrowed works air card so I could at least post news while I wait.

Yeah, Anenome, that reminds me of an article I read with John Carmack on FiringSquad.com (who posted that, was it you?) and it does seem that polygon rendering is an old tech pushed to nearly its own limits. Whether it be calculated voxels or maybe a hologram-type representation model, I'm thinking it's time to bring out something new, something with more headroom. I know a lot of people who say that "videogames today are...

I hope Ancratyne enjoys her tofurky today while the rest of us eat until we pass out.
I'm thankful for everyone in my family because they are there for me when I need them no matter how annoying they may be.
I am also very thankful for my wonderful fiance and life that I live, new house, new car, new dog and very little debt. Life is good!

It's definitely worth taking a look at the Madness Sale page . There's a lot of good deals there I did not have space for in the article.

The PS3 beta kicks some serious ass. Better than MW2, IMHO.

My first real experience with FPS was playing Heretic. Forget the blocky creatures, the most unnerving aspect of this game was their excellent use of stereo sound. There were times while playing I would turn my head thinking the sound was actually coming from somewhere other than my computer speakers... always felt a little unnerved after a session of Heretic...

I know this will seem lame, but honestly my favorite RPG of all time is Final Fantasy VI. I'm not of the "it's the last great FF!" crowd, but it was the first FF game I really bought and played all the way through. I had played FFIV on the SNES and some FF on the NES but it wasn't until FFVI that I got hooked on RPGs. Until then RPGs were games my nerdy best friend played. But FFVI sucked me ...

I saw this the other day and thought this is such a load of bollocks, half way through reading it I gave up. Real world events and computer games are different and you can not base scientific analysis of one against the other.

I would think that, at this point in the mmorpg lifespan, an intelligent
developer would have created a way to prevent such offenses or, at least,
created an environment with game mechanics immune to them.
