Hey peeps, well I have always loved dancing but due to my mobility problems I needed to find an exercise programe that I would feel really comfortable and easy to do. Now I here you saying salsa is fast and furious and lots of hip swinging etc........... yeah your right, but I joined a class for the 50 plus age group provided by the local coucil for those who have health issues but also want to enjoy some form of exercise in a light hearted...

Hello, I have been taking a Hatha Yoga class twice a week for 9 months.  My flexability has improved, and I am feeling mentally and physically better much better.  It hasn't help with weight loss though.  I was wondering if anyone know approximately how many calories you burn doing 70 minutes of Hatha Yoga. Thanks

Hi! Unfortunately i have not tried that kind of yoga.. I do Bikram (Hot) Yoga. I have not lost alot of weight either. And I do pilates. I was told by instructors that it is important to incorporate cardio exercise to looses weight. So i started running and doing other fun cardio classes. And poof! I lost weight and the results from yoga and pilates really increased. Hope this helps!

A favorite exercise of mine is hiking. I usually go with a friend on the weekend. Basically, we do a day trip to one of a number of state parks. Typically, we hike for 3-4 hours, however, we have done as little as 1.5 hours to as much as 6+ hours. Hiking is great for burning calories. I've had hikes where I've burned over 2,500 calories! You can trek a variety of terrains and get to ...

I personally love using the eliptical. Of course they are expensive, but if you go to a gym, try to use that more than the treadmill or bike. For me, I put it on the hill setting, level 25, and usually go on for 45 minutes. It doesn't feel like a disgusting sweaty workout since there is so much resistance on level 25 that you can't even move quick on it at a high level. Anyways, you ...

My personal favorite exercise are DVD's they allow you to work out in the privacy of your own home and no one is there to judge you. I've done everything from Tae bo, to Exercise on Demand. I can't get enough. But my number one favorite is Turbo Jam!!! I will have to admit it could get pricey, but it is sooo worth it! It comes with so many tools to help you get your way slim with exercise ...
