Ok -- this sucks but it's workable. A few years ago I was a passenger in a crapped-out VL Turbo that was rear ended. South Melbourne tow trucks turn up (the maroon Effie) and gave us the card of a guy who kind of 'mediates' between victims and car insurance companies. Long story short, my mate paid the guy a bunch of money (don't remember how much, but it was around the grand mark) and told him he wanted $11.5k for his VL....

Dad has a st-r navara, never heard him say a bad word about it, dad does alot of towing a trailer around (this is a petrol) and is geared very low standard, so its not a freeway cruiser, for towing reason of course. gets 450km-550km a tank, depending how often he takes his trailer out. Deisal models are very hard to find, as everyone hangs onto them and drives them into the ground. Dad wanted a desial but couldnt find any worth buying, so had...

Advice required - $3.5K Touring
Published (2009-11-27 23:43:00)
Cheers mate, that is great info to know. To answer a couple of questions I only had third party with Just Car. They told me it's not my fault so they do nothing for me. Hence Suncorp is the other drivers insurance co. after phoning them, they asked me to take the car to that particular repairer, get a hire car if required etc etc. As I said I still havent heard from their assessor, but was fearing the worst. Your info seems much more...

I think there was a rule put up or something? i dont know. But anyway that thing has been for sale many times before. Bit pricey for a pretty standard M535i with some alpina bits on it. I'd prefer the black one thats for sale (the guy is on ecca)

My old e36 318i! I still love that car. It handled on rails, looked great and it was teh right balance of rawness and comfort. I have a soft spot for the e36, but after driving the e46, I don't think I could take a step back in terms of comfort for day-to-day driving, but would look at maybe something as a track/weekend toy!

I also heard about this, the thing is, they were trying to find buyers months ago, mainly interests in China and the Middle East. As far as the 3 german car firms showing an interest in Karmann, that's just a rumor. The big 3 are having their own problems to deal with. i.e. BMW sales down 37 percent. With a 4agte and 5sp they're pretty quick and more than a little scary. I've never really seen the appeal but they can be made to go pretty quick in a straight line and they weigh nothing.
