New Audi A8 (D4)
Published (2009-12-04 00:44:00)
It does indeed look like a stretched A4... which imo is a let down. So much potential for Audi to whip out a bold design but time and time again the A8 just looks like a box on wheels imo... how are you supposed to get excited about a car like this? And are those chromies I spy?? lol perhaps it's US-spec? Are the two extra airbags an option?

Ferrari 599 GTO???

I'd hope that the stallion designers dont copy the rising sun, but once you see a design, and especially if you like it, and if theres lots of interest in it, no matter how hard you try, you will copy it... this is why all the ads on tv are the same... ok I'm exgerating a bit, but you know what I mean...

The Euro Ute: VW Amarok

http://www.4wheelsnews.com/wp-conten....php/5464/1/2/ Apart from the pox name it could be quite interesting given some of the Diesel Engines VW have to use. If they can be as cost effective as the Japanese, now subject to the Yen flying up and up it may take off.

I doubt veeeeeeeeeery (elongating words is cool) much that Ferrari would design a car based on GTR - I don't really see too much of a resemblance anyway, in all honesty.

Saab Koenigsegg/GM deal falls...
Published (2009-11-25 16:53:00)
As found on Saabs United Quote: From TTELA ------ Unfortunately, we have to do this. It is sad, but we've realised that we can't make it in time. There's too little time to close the deal, says Bård Eker, part owner of Koenigsegg Group through his company Eker Group. Like Christian von Koenigsegg, he mentions that the 30th of November was the crucial date. That was when the puzzle had to be complete. - For the company (Saab)...

Question is how'd they lose those 400kg and still keep quattro? Very impressive, proof that Audi's got the right idea about what keen drivers want.

Nice! Those daytime running lights are such a step up from the R8. The 'kick' in them looks much more aggressive. And the taillights... wow I'm guessing it will get bigger engines as time goes by?

I posted some comments about this in the SCCA forums earlier today so I wont repeat them here, however it's hard to see this as something unforseen. Here are some of the questions we should be asking: 1 - How long does Saab as an entity keep operating? Is there a finite date on which the Saab operations stop dead? GM won't really care IMHO as the production slots not filled making Saab's ...

Purists cried foul when BMW controversially switched from its famous in-line six-cylinder engine to V8 power for the latest generation M3. Then they drove the car. Then they bought it – in record numbers. BMW M, the luxury maker’s performance arm, has confirmed it will deliver the 1,000th M3 in Australia powered by a V8 engine in the coming weeks. “The M3 is the bona ...
