Easy to do - IF you mark the wires. I'd tighten it first too, they don't usually fail.

I really wasn't impressed with the Coach Care facility in Houston - - hard to get into, you're locked in overnight, horrible noise from road AND railroad tracks, but most of all they don't have enough inventory of CUMMINS filters/belts to do the job in one day - everyone was having to wait overnight for the filters to come in. Looks like there is a Speedco in Baytown right off of I-10 at exit 789, and they do on site oil...

Water filter install
Published (2009-12-04 07:07:00)
I questioned a plumber on this issue since the directions say to mount vertically and most plumbers do so. He said that it could be that if permanently mounted in another position, the filters might not last quite as long because they were designed for vertical use, but he doubted the effect would be significant. It was his opinion that the main reason for vertical mounting is to prevent water spills when changing the filters. Like Stan, we...

Mine has a Sharp mounted above the stove. It vents to the inside and has a very nosily fan when using on convection, waiting for it to heat up to baking or broil temps. This fall I bought a Toaster/Oven that is quite baking muffins or Pizza. And find myself using it a lot more then I ever did the loud convection.

Welcome to escapees discussion forums! The most reliable source will be an auto body shop for re-attaching the decal. You now know pressure washers and decals don't like each other, and must be kept apart. The reason I suggest an auto body shop is that getting ALL the bubbles and wrinkles out is difficult. Meter discrepancy
Published (2009-11-30 11:06:00)
I have a Progressive Industries EMS system, which monitors my incoming power. Currently, it shows no errors and the normal voltage and load that I would expect. By chance, I happened to plug in a digital power meter from Automated Engineering, which also shows line voltage, frequency, and status. It shows a ground fault error. I'm currently hooked up to a 30A pedestal and have not noted any power problems. Any idea why the two meters...

Mine isn't mounted anywhere, and is nearly always lying down when in use. The only reason you might want to mount it vertical is so you don't have a water mess when you take the cannister loose to change the filter ...if you mount it in the water bay that won't be hurt by getting wet, it will work just fine as far as filtering water is concerned. The first question that comes to mind is, why do you need to replace it? Have you tried tightening it? There are usually four bolts, accessible from below, that hold it in place. It is not unusual for them to need tightening from time to time. In answer to your question, yes, it is not a big deal to replace. Undo those four bolts, disconnect the wires and lift it off.

There is a tee in the pipe between the main propane tank and the pressure gage that feeds propane into the motor home that was installed by a local propane company. Additionally, I have two 5 gallon propane tanks that live in the storage compartment closest to that tee. The propane company put connections to the tee and to a 5 gallon tank with an appropriate hose between that can be ...

If it is like my Norcold, you just unplug the wire Harness, disconnect the water line and remove the screws holding it in. No special lines to cool faster. Make sure you plug the hole the harness and water line entered the freezer section.

what size is the inverter? unless you are using a fairly large inverter i would not worry about it, especially if it is the only outlet you are going to be wiring into it.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like you could make much more than a 30-45 degree turn with that setup. Certainly not anything approaching 90 degrees.

Interesting, as I have seen the same with my system ... I have a TRC SurgeGuard that monitors incoming power much like the Progressive system, and will light an indicator for minor errors or disconnect power for major errors. I have an Automated Engineering digital line meter in an outlet inside the coach. On a couple of occasions I have had a ground fault on the line meter with no ...

QUOTE (Trailertoad1 @ Dec 3 2009, 07:05 AM) I just paid $65 for a gallon of Transynd fluid for my Allison (OUCH!) I changed out the filter every 5,000 and add fluid, change trans fluid every 30,000. We tow a 17,000 lb trailer with our 6.7 340HP cummins so we watch the trans temp like a hawk and never let it get above 200 degrees for any length of time. You cannot go wrong with ...

QUOTE (SWEAT @ Nov 29 2009, 05:28 PM) Well my first post in tech and definitely not my last. One thing that I have always considered (since available) was replacing the micro for a nice convection oven of the same physical specs. What are my challenges? Is it a wiring harness issue with proper sizing? Will it draw more amps than the micro? Seems like it would.. if so how much.. can ...

John, Your best source of information would be Cummins, not the dealer. Since the oil change interval is so long on diesels, a lot of dealers (and smaller repair shops) will suggest shorter intervals to get more business. Have the next service done (maybe at 8-9 months) at a Coach Care facility (Cummins) and let them run the diagnostics on it, including analyzing the oil, and give you...

It will never need changed by the manual. Automatic Transmission Fluid It is not necessary to check the transmission fluid level. A transmission fluid leak is the only reason for fluid loss. If a leak occurs, take your...

We went to a carwash and the pressure loosed a corner of one of our stick on stripes down the side of the motorhome. Any ideas on how to stick it back before it tears??? What kind of adhesive should we use?? Any help would be appreciated.

You are up there a ways! In your situation I think I would be tempted to remove the batteries, take them inside for the winter, and put them on a battery minder. It would be cheaper than another panel/controller and would probably be better for the batteries. As for another 60 watt panel, I don't see that it would really help all that much in your latitude. That's only 5 amps max in ...
