It is now New Year's Eve and there have been no responses, so I will try to get the ball rolling. We had both good and bad over the past year, but any year that has more good than bad has been a good one so we list this as another good year. We began our year in Everglades NP where we got to spend time with "Boogity" and three other members of Escapees. While there we had sone of the most memorable experiences working...

QUOTE (Kirk @ Dec 27 2009, 04:01 PM) While I'm sure that Rae didn't intend to start any fights, that is a debate you don't even want to get into! There are a few other differences to consider in the two countries, like taxes, and personal freedoms? Just so that you know Rae, it isn't true that all Americans carry guns and shoot people of a regular basis, any more than it is true that that there are...

I, too, would recommend making your trip to New Mexico and Arizona first and then head to Utah and Colorado. Wait too long, and Arizona can be extremely hot, and it could still be quite cold in Colorado at the end of March. I think the Grand Circle mentioned by TCW would be a great way of exploring these areas. -------------------- Linda Hylton 2007 Excel Classic 30RKE 2007 Dodge Ram 3500, Cummins diesel On the road fulltiming...see where we...

Well I guess we'll go next.... The beginning of this year found us living in our sticks and bricks and Mike working extremely long tiring hours. We had almost given up on the housing market and had taken the house off the market for a "rest" during the winter months. We hadn't gotten around to putting it back on the market when I got a call from our realtor that a former student's parents wanted to move back...

Joan and I spent the summer in NC close to our daughter and son-in-law. At dinner one night they asked us to consider leting them build a mother-in-law suite on their new home. They wanted us to know we had a home when we hang up the keys. After 10 years of fulltiming we were looking at options. This is the best. No health problems to speak of still enjoy the road. One of the highlights of each year is attending a chapter 20 rally. This is the...

I think that you have just found one of the things which attracts many of us who have done this for years, to the RV community. Most of the couples we know who are fulltimers are best friends as well as all of the typical marriage things. I suspect that the close quarters of life in an RV play a big part in that. Most of those who stay on the road, long term were that way before they left ...

Rather than going clockwise, I would go counterclockwise at that time of the year. Colorado can still get some nasty snow storms in late March or early April depending on where you are going. How long do you plan on traveling? If you like quaint towns, in Arizona, Tombstone and Bisbee are pretty nice to visit and just off of I-10. Near Sedona is Jerome and I love visiting there ...

I've sen a few, the best setup was a MDT with a bed that had a box on it for the shop with enough bare bed sticking out behind it to mount a fiver on. The bed made a nice extension to the shop area in good weather.

MaryAnn, Its been 4 years since our trip to Alaska... Others will post with more current information I'm sure. Be sure to allow plenty of time for the trip... although you didn't say how long or where you were leaving from... It's as much FUN getting there as it is once your there... Canada has so many sites to see along the way. Don't treat the drive up as a "Must Hurry to get there...

In my opinion, if you get C2C and already have ROD along with your Thousand Trails, you really don't need RPI or AOR. We have AOR only because we get it as a bundle with our ROD. They now charge for reservations and you can't make them online so we never use it. The only advantage over C2C is that they have 3 week stays instead of 2 week. Trust me, C2C Deluxe plus the ROD will be ...
