We are in PHX (well, Tempe-Elks campground) the next few weeks -- getting dental implants (4?), finally,,, having paid for them back in '07. SOLD the Calif. house 10/06, closed 10/28, did a whirlwind of "spring cleaning" (ie, 22 yrs of stuff!). Will go back to Calif for December holidays. -Don

QUOTE (Barncats @ Nov 1 2009, 05:06 PM) The best laid plans of mice and men.....sometimes go to s___t Illness hit me while in VA and it took almost a week to recover...pretty sure it was pump problems (the one that circulates my blood) So..we decided to turn around and head back home. I feel great now, but then the truck decided to have an ABS valve issue last night right at the fuel pumps. Called in the mechanic...simple...

QUOTE (hjsdds @ Nov 6 2009, 01:12 PM) Sorry to hear about your problems, but hope you are OK. If you need a rest stop en route we are at exit 12a off I 89 Springfield NH. If you went I-91 N we are about 20 miles east from the Lebanon NH exit on I-91. Safe trip. Davena Thank you so much Davena, that was very kind of you. I was actually thinking of you and Henry as a pit stop if things got worse. I'm going to start a new...

Bonnie and I are in Gulf Shores, Alabama till the 18th of November at Gulf Breeze RV Resort visiting with friends. Talked about leaving with the upcoming hurricane (Ida) but we decided to add a hurricane to our bucket list. See you in Retama Village on the 20th.

Got back to Yuma yesterday morning -- settling in for the winter (mostly) with a few side trips. Have already touched base with Smokey & Pam, and some ex-HDTers are either here already or heading this way in a few weeks. Anybody passing through or staying for the winter, we'd love to see you! We're in the Foothills again this year... Looking forward to the first Yuma 4x4 run that we'll be here for in a couple...

I do travel to Mexico a couple of times a year (always to Rocky Pt.) and have never had any problems - but have never been in an HDT before either. Now that I have an HDT, obviously I have a few concerns about heading south. Has anyone ever had a problem with your fifth-wheel attached? I never plan to travel without my fiver attached to the truck - we just go to the RV park and stay for 4...

Davena, can't wait to see the RDBE calendar. You can put me down for at least 5. Let me know if you need help. Our first official meeting at the HDT Rally was very informative and we had a great turnout. It'll be even better next year. I hope all the RDBE gals will actively participate in this forum and use it to share their knowledge and experience. Safe Travels to everyone....
