The Old Gmail Size Problem
Published (2009-12-27 13:36:00)
I find having my own domain quite worth the cost, no ISP stupidity to put up with, no mail filters, no outgoing blocking, no advertising, a URL that is my own and I can add and remove services with no problem.

I had a flashdrive with some stuff on it when I left Canada and now I cannot find it for the life of me. Remember, I live in a 31' motorhome with not that many hiding places! Who knows what I could loose in a house! -------------------- My Mexico Blog: http://croftsmexico.blogspot.com/

QUOTE (Tony & Pamela @ Dec 28 2009, 06:22 PM) John, three goggle accounts = $0.00. And then Google owns you. Now, my ex-boyfriend is a programmer for Google so I have an inside track on some of the goings on there, but the more powerful they become, the less I trust them and become more John Harrelson in my view of them. People really should read their Google TOS and think hard before paying for their...

Thanks Stan.....I may try the tracking via my ISP. I have gotten rejection messages before, but not from these two addresses...so maybe my email is just being trashed at the far end ISP. Regards Gemstone

QUOTE (RV @ Dec 23 2009, 02:55 PM) OK folks, Just read about imaging in Win 7 and Vista where instead of just a restore disk, you can image your disk with all the updates, applications, data etc. which makes doing a restore not a loss and a three day affair but less than an hour. Nor do you have to figure out what files and where, or how to reapply data after a full restore. And it is free with Win 7! Just go here and...

My gmail account indicates that there are about 7.4GB of storage available. Do you need more storage than that? <Just curious. If so, wow!>

Did you try reinstalling the new battery after it powered up on the old battery? I would power it down on the old battery completely shutting it down, reinsert the new battery then plug in the brick without turning it on and see if the charging light comes on. If it does them wait a few hours keeping an eye on it even though turned off, as some batteries that fail flame. Then let us know...

Chris, I have no idea where you are at this point. Don't worry your post was asking for help, and I need you to clarify a few things first. You said you use Webroot A/V but they make a lot of programs. Do you have their AV and malware program paid for and up to date? Or just their malware program. Both infections you mentioned are vintage early 2008 and should have been caught by now ...

Haven't tried an image backup yet, but am less than pleased with Win7 backup. It only works on NTFS formatted drives. Found this out after I had already created 5 additional partitions on my 1T drive, several of them FAT32. Can't think of any logical reason to exclude FAT32. Haven't crashed it - yet, but have managed to lock it so that my only option was to use the power off button. ...

That really sounds like they have a spam filter that is catching your messages at the ISP or that both folks have set up their local filters to discard/hide your messages. Try sending them a message from another system like Gmail and see if it goes through.

If you were not storing passwords and Thunderbird suddenly started it is likely that it ended up with a tick-mark in the save box or thought it had. You can remove the password from the preferences box, security tab, passwords button.

What do you mean "send them to a folder within Picasa"? You were using Picasa on your PC to manage your photos? Then you would export selected photos in Picasa (at a specified size), then upload them to blogspot? If so, you just use the export function in iPhoto to put them in a folder, and upload. joe

Derek Thanx - I would have been caught by the DHL, IF I didn't remember that DHL has just about closed 'retail' shipping in the U S. As I understand it, they are now more of a volume, large commercial shipper. I have not seen a yellow truck in a while. Of course, it has been a while since I heard this.
