both happy and sad for ya, tam bam!! Happy that you can finally feel the peace that you needed, but sad that the diagnosis is what it is. With any luck, your neurologist will be able to get things sorted out for you..... Take care! Meetz

Warm feeling on the back of my head
Published (2009-12-04 09:53:00)
Before I got on my meds almost every night after I went to bed I felt like someone was squeezing the back of my head and it would start tingling really bad like when your foot falls asleep. My neurologist told me this is an aura. Haven't had that happen since I got on the meds but wow - really strange! Rita

been having some de-ja-vu since the experience this morning, and it usually surrounds time for some reason. Hmm. Hello mandyxox, I am always having dreams where I pass out or having a seizure and sometimes I do wake up thinking whether or not I've had one / all confused. I would mention it to your Neurologist just incase, but I don't think it's anything to worry about, though I am only new to epilepsy myself. Let us know how you get on at your appointment Kind Regards Debbie

Infections (including UTIs) can trigger seizures if you already have a lower seizure threshold. (It's happened to me). Maybe that's what happened in your case. Even though the burning feeling is gone, I recommend that you drink plenty of water, and try drinking cranberry juice with a small amount of baking soda in it.

Hello tam bam and welcome to this group. Have you ever had any of the following?: * A MRI scan * A normal EEG scan * A videoed EEG scan. * A week EEG scan If not these might help you and the Neurologists to figure out what is going on. I am new to epilepsy so couldn't really tell you much about what type of seizure (if one) you are having. My guess, though only a guess, that it ...

My neurologist put it very bluntly.....if you drive during the time your notified that your not allowed too and kill someone......guess where your going? straight to jail and i wont be able to do a thing to help you. Hi skypumpkin, welcome to CWE! It's great that you've finally got a real diagnosis, and a treatment that is working. But your neurologist is incorrect in saying that you should not get pregnant while on Lamictal. Here's the scoop: The vast majority of pregnancies on anti-epileptic drugs turn out fine. Some of the newer anti-epileptic drug meds, including Lamictal and Neurontin, are considered...

Really glad that you are feeling better Rita. My daughter took Lamictal for a while, but I can't remember the color. I am not sure if this site will help you answer your question or not, but I remember it was interesting reading others experiences on a med: www.askapatient.com

Hi Ngas, I have always heard do not put anything in your mouth during a seizure. I thought that was a rule of thumb. Wow, who told you this? Don't tell me a dentist. i am curious who told you this though, a neurologist or a dentist? I have found in Georgia that the neuros and dentists will tell you anything at least that has been my experience. I used a splint for my TMJ problems but it...

I've never been on Lamotrigine but here's what I found on it. Remember that even if you do get some side-effects, it may just take a little while for them to subside (as what often happens with me). http://www.drugs.com/search.php?sear..._main_searc h=1 http://www.rxlist.com/lamictal-drug.htm http://www.drugdigest.org/wps/portal...fU1RSX0RWSA !!/

Muscle jerking/twitching is another kind of seizure called myoclonic. Do you know if your seizures originate on the right side of your brain? Often that means they will affect the left side of the body.
