Did you just call everyone from Texas an ignorant moron? That's insulting. Global warming is bad because it's going to result in increased heat waves, droughts, desertification, large scale species extinctions, sea level rise, food and water shortages, etc.

An example would be paper that has grease or other food materials on it, or #1 plastic bottles with the lid still on it, which is a different type of plastic. It depends on the recycle center, some will further sort or clean items. Others will simply dump the whole load. Materials need to be clean and contain only the required items to be successfully recycled.
