The reason I'm wondering about this is that I thought they were encrypted, but the other day, I received an email from one of my providers indicating that my account was setup and ready, and it included my password in plain text. Needless to say, I changed the password immediately, but I'm not sure that it matters if they could see the original password. Anyone know about these things?
