Default gmail view on iMAC...
Published (2009-12-13 06:38:00)
It turns out my MAC Firefox bookmark for GMail had somehow gotten changed to specify the mobile view of GMail. Just removing that probably will take care of it, but there is a nocheckbrowser parameter that can also be used to get the standard view.

GMail/ ms2003 problems

Thanks CyberSurf. You solved my problems completely!!! It does amaze me that so many people offer opinions rather than facts to attempt to help. Suggest they should read instructions and details all provided liberally amongst the help and infromation files before expressing invalid opinions and errors. Thanks again Cyber Smurf.

Gmail and Gears - Question...
Published (2009-12-13 01:00:00)
Hi all, I've downloaded Gears and already synchronized my emails - Everything worked so far. Furthermore, I can also switch from online-status to offline-status within Gmail. Though, how can I open the googlemail-website if I wasn't connected before? I mean, when I am offline, I can not open mail.google.com - How can I "solve" that problem? Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the EMD Forums, SentientParadox!
I don't know of any client which does what you ask, but it is a very good idea! I have just suggested this to Fastmail, which has three forums at the EMD site. Their web client has advanced personality features, and if they added the ability to set NONE as the default personality this would do what you wish. They also allow you to use any From ...

Unfortunately, as far as I know there isn't any such "trick". In fact, although I have known of a (very) few exceptions, most services with POP3 access, whether free or paid, only have provision for polling the Inbox by POP3, to which Yahoo is no exception. The only exception I'm aware of in Yahoo is that I believe there is an option somewhere to choose to download messages in your spam/junk ...
