Another thing you might check in is Options then Define Rules. Then click on "All" to see all rules. Perhaps you had set a rule to act on a specific kind of email like maybe a certain From or something that made it kick in today or is this happening with all received emails? Sherry

Alternatively you can use ImapSize (great app but does not preserve flag status) or MailStore (which does preserve flag status) to backup your account through imap, then upload it to gmail in the same manner... Imapsize will download your 30k emails to txt files on your computer...

nothing to really argue about. Outlook with a certain type of IMAP servers setup, obviously my coaxial account it seems to work fine. On the Fastmail servers it does not work fine and so they are obviously different. Support has checked it out and sent me a link of others that reported the same issue. So I have to decide to either use the no root folder option as states in this link http://www.emaildiscussions.com/show...988#post423988 or...

Please try using cut/paste to send the following to yourself. Be sure you are in the Rich Text (HTML) mode of the Compose screen: Code: This is a test. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Long line. This is a test. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Long line. Last line. HTML messages are normally sent from Fastmail with two sections: Plain text and HTML. This means that you can read the plain text version in an old text...

This is what I got in both sent and inbox: Quote: This is a test. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Long line. This is a test. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Long line. Last line. Again, the hard returns have been ignored. Not quite sure what you're trying to say here, apologies if I'm being dumb

To be honest, I have not examined family and business account capabilities in detail. These are fairly recent additions to Fastmail's service. The techniques I explained above typically involve a single master account that is an enhanced account at US$39.95 a year, plus full accounts at US$19.95 a year for everyone else. I can well imagine that simpler (and possibly cheaper) options exist, but I can only explain what I have set up and...

Are you sure the formatting is lost in the mail received by the recipient?
The only reason I'm asking is that some time ago my then email system sometimes saved outgoing messages with formatting different to what was actually sent out (don't ask...). As far as I am aware, what arrived at the other end looked the way I had intended.

I just tried redirecting 3 emails to a google account. The first email immediately appeared. The other two appeared about 30 seconds later.
It may be that it is just taking time. Did they eventually come through?
Maybe try a smaller amount of emails?

Hi Jim,
I attempted to upgrade my account to take advantage of the promotion as well, but made a mistake (I selected 2 years for $34.90 instead of 3 for $39.90). This transaction went through fine, but then I realized my mistake and am now trying to upgrade for $5 more to get all three years. I've now been running into the same issue you ran into-- FastMail won't take my credit card or ...

Oded, it's been a long time since you posted so maybe it was just a glitch and is working for you now? I just checked FastCheck and it is working for me.

We'd likely need much more information in order to attempt to help, even if
there is any help anyone here could offer. But although it may not likely
be quite enough information, just to start out with, what service is this
email account with?

Thanks for letting us know about this issue.
It seems like the newer versions of FF are causing some issues with FM depending upon the OS you are using.
I am currently using version 3.5.3 of FF.
Is this the last known stable version of FF that works well with FM?
Thanks,
David

Welcome to the forums: you are using port 465? ... or port 587 (one of these ports should work)

using Outlook 2010 with the Ad Free account @ Fastmail. I setup my account
to run over SSL on port 993 and I have the path set to INBOX. At first I did not see my subfolders off of Inbox but I resolved that and everything looks great. My issue is if I copy or move an email to one of those subfolders in Outlook it fails with an error "The Server responded Mailbox doesn't exist"
