Quote from R. Raskolnikov: It has NOTHING to do with registration date (obviously, look at yours) and EVERYTHING to do with actual trading experience. I've got over 12 yrs full time in futs day trading, you just started a few years ago. And then you come in here and say this doesn't work, no way no how. Come on man, you should know better Not me my friend, more like the guys who tested. Like the New York Fed, Victor...

Experience is not as relevant as knowing how to make more than lose. For instance this Oscar Carboni claims to have had 27 years in the industry, but http://oscarsnakeoil.wordpress.com/

Quote from konviction: I read about this from a new day trading book i found at books a million... The basics of the system are that you buy when readings are overbought, and sell when the lines cross, opposite is true for shorts...thought it was interesting, sense price will many times, rise while in these extremes. Kon The man sells books and internet stuff to make a living, also had a serious run in with the CFTC/NFA (cannot remember...

Daal, Thanks for responding to some of my questions. I don't get the stolen money from your wallet analogy unless you're implying you specifically felt ripped off or taken advantage of when you purchased something from Steve Nison. If so, that sucks and stop feeling bad nor take it personally...books are cheap or you can get them for free from any local library in North America. Here's what I've heard about Steve Nison but...

Quote from R. Raskolnikov: You're only bolstering my case further. You say TA is useless because it's been tested but who's to say that the testers covered all their bases? Here's a secret for you....they haven't No sense in trying to convince those us of who use proprietary TA to make money from the mkts. You're just wasting your breath. Well, with secret, proprietary information that all the quants from sloan,...

Quote from R. Raskolnikov: I think we can agree that, ALONE, trading stuff taught in books will NOT produce consistent results. Then again, if someone is dumb enough to believe that all they have to do is look for a few specific candle patterns to form and then buy or sell without doing any kind of mkt study, then they DESERVE to get burned. I have tried many of them most are sub-break-even and too much risk you really do gotta figure this...

Oh, no thanks, Jack. I just need a dose of your complexity and arcanity periodically to appreciate the simplicity of what I do. I bitch about the near-stasis of your method, evolving with pre-global-warming glacial slowness, but I am an incurable complicator. I just finished my bi-monthly cleanout of all the useless brain farts I had and coded up. Now I am back to the bare simplicity of forty-some S/R levels. But I like your idea of a volume...

Yea, Ive been thinking either this is an A or a 1. Looking for a pullback and its intenesity. I have to admit that a wave 1 will slighty shock me. Im pretty bearish. But I am trying to leave my feelings out of this as best I can being new. Anyway, next pull back ...

TZ is a bitter loser, he doesn't deserve you or anyone else coming to his defense
Quote from Yossarian:
Respectfully, this is why it's different:
Logically, "I believe it to be not true" is a very different (and much stronger) statement than "I don't believe it to be true".
It appears to me that TZ was asserting the latter.

I used trending 123 about 6 years ago, Cost me about 100 bucks a month, I used them for us stock alerts back then and commentary...they were ok, covered the 100 but your better off doing your own thing in the long run imo....

November 23rd analysis
Based upon the pre-market up trend, it?s reasonable to assume that this market will continue up and that the ?herd? will think this also. Let our assumption of the heard thinking this market will go up guide our analysis of the day.
1) Wide spread up bar finishing at the highs. This is a bullish candle. No reason to assume we won?t see new highs.
2) Another ...

No one is replying, I used to get that when I first started nearly 10 years ago and I still do unless my questions feed their vanity.
Technicals take time and as you will learn Elliott Wave counts will just be a small part of your analysis..you will need to learn and learn..its a journey that won't stop..you'll gain and lose..gain again and so on.

...it really looks like we had a dragon failure on the daily chart too.
If so, height is 160, failure at 913 or so, that would take us down to 913-160= 750ish...
Probably takes 2-3 days to get there....
Here it is:
It took 4 days to get there and we slightly ...
