Audio Loop
Published (2009-12-01 22:14:00)
rrosen1 As far as I have ever known, you cannot loop video or audio within Premiere Elements. From what I have read, you can loop audio using the free Audacity program and loop video using the PgcEdit software http://www.jakeludington.com/audacit..._audacity.html http://www.goldenpenproductions.com/...rom_a_Menu.pdf You can drag the audio clip to the audio or soundtrack more than once. Or, have you given consideration to the use of SmartSound...

ok, just one more and THEN bed. will PE8 run faster on the windows 7 machine than PE7 will? I'm all about speed given my short timeline, but of course I'm familiar with 7. thoughts? just not sure if the 64 bit version is faster.

stanwilliamson http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/145/866592 I think that we have explored the idea of placing video on two different tracks to see if that had any impact on the stop marker BluRay issue. That was based on the above link chat. I was not pushing one software over another, just thought that, if you could show that brand X on your computer yielded BluRay with no stop marker issue, this might give support that Premiere Elements...

Published (2009-12-01 15:17:00)
Hi Disneyzell, What is the format of the video in your project and what camcorder(s) did it come from? There are various causes for this but don't worry, none of them are permanent. With a little help I'm sure your video will be looking better in no time at all Also, when you say large what exactly does that mean? How many hours of video do you have in your project?

Pre7 halt/freeze at editing title
Published (2009-11-27 12:16:00)
Hi again, Edit, Titles, Entertainment, Blue Notes, blueNotes_credits. I have now tried to start from a blank still frame and put text on it and then the rolling effect, it worked perfect until I tried to change the background colour, then it halted again. An annoying thing is that i won't help to save frequent, the changes are not saved.

I played around with the settings for the ATI driver, but no success. So I decided to download Premiere Elements 8. What a surprise. All transitions now do what they are supposed to do . The conclusion: Most probably a reinstall of Premiere Elements 7 would have solved the problem as well, but being not in a position to do this, I will make use of the special offer before Nov 30th. Nice side effect: I do no longer feel so stupid. Thanks for...

Thanks, this is very helpful. In the mean time, I see that the camera I'm interested in (Sony HDR-CX100) can record in standard def as well as HD. So for simple tasks I can continue to record & edit SD until I get a faster desktop. Thanks again for all the advice! --George

Bert,
Are you saying the TB Video Advantage PCI (USB type) is not supported by its manufacturer or by Microsoft Windows 7? I do not see it listed in Microsoft's Windows 7 online compatibility listing, so at this moment I am not sure if Microsoft did not have time to test it.

Background Rendering is a new feature of Premiere Elements 8, so I assume that you are working with Premiere Elements 8.
What you are observing comes under the category of "normal".
My recommendation is to disable the Background Rendering via Edit Menu/Preferences/General and removing the check mark next to the Background Rendering feature. You can always do a manual ...

Do you actually have Premiere Elements 7 at the present time?
If you do, when you are in the New Project dialog/Change Settings of Premiere Elements 7, follow the NTSC/AVCHD tree:
NTSC
AVCHD
to each of the project presets that you cited
click on each one at a time
then look to the right where you will see a complete description of the preset

Have you read recent threads in the Premiere Elements Forum here related to slow motion.
I will go into this in more detail tomorrow (as it applies to your specific situation), but
Using the Time Stretch Tool
Increasing the duration of the video, results in slow motion with frames being added from the start to the end of the video depending on the speed percentage change.

Premiere Elements questions should be posted in the Premiere Elements Forum here so that they do not get mixed and lost with Photoshop Elements ones.
Premiere Elements 4 does not support AVCHD, UNLESS you have certain Sony Vaio models that come with a Sony add on component which gives Premiere Elements 4 the AVCHD support. Premiere Elements 7 and 8 both natively support AVCHD.

When you talk about split screen in one sense of the word, essentially you would have one video on video track 1 and the another on video track 2 and use the Crop Under Effects, followed by application of B&W effect to one and color or color enhancement to the other.
If you are talking about having the color or lack of color vary along the course of the video, we need to check out ...

Hi folks, I have two questions...
Today I installed PE8 on my brand new Windows 7 machine (Core I7 920 w/ 12G DDR3 and Nvidia GTS 250 1G card). The install went fine but the app crashed the very first time I tried to "drag and drop" a clip to the time line. I can import clips but it has since crashed (app. only, not the whole system) three more times whenever I click on the orange "edit" tab...

If you have an HD camcorder (1080i), do you have to burn to Blue-ray to retain? What happens if you burn to DVD?
I'm thinking about upgrading to an HD camera. I want to make video that will look good on 1080i TV's, but still viewable on standard sets... not many people have Blue-ray burners or viewers..
