back up and restore

I appreciate everything you have tried to do..at this point I am not going to play with this anymore. I checked for program errors and there were none. I have been fooling around with this program for days now and who knows what problems i may have created by myself. This entire series of problems began when I foolishly thought that if I could change the way my folders were set up I could make life easier. HA!! Specifically for some reason...

It sounds like you did the backup and restore properly. However, I have not heard of a restore resulting in disconnected photos, nor have I heard of a restore resulting in missing tags. So ... more questions ... by using the words "not connected", you mean that the newly restored catalog shows a question mark on some of the photos? By "list of tags", you mean the tags in the panel over on the right of the...

Changing the color of a word art
Published (2009-11-25 00:24:00)
Here's an easy way to change the color. Click on the Foreground color chip to open the color picker. Select a color, or sample a color from your image. Press Ctrl-U to get the Hue/Saturation dialog (or from the menu: Enhance > Adjust Color > Adjust Hue/Saturation). Once the dialog opens, in the lower right corner, click to place a checkmark beside Colorize. This will apply the color chosen from the color picker. Then drag...

I used to have PSE 4 and never had this problem, but with PSE 7 my ISO camera information seems to get "stripped." I have Windows Photo Gallery and when I am viewing a picture I have edited with PSE 7 I used to be able to click on Properties, then Details, then Camera, and I could see the f-stop, exposure, ISO, etc. Now the ISO spot is blank. Any thoughts, suggestions?? Thank you!

If your tags did not restore, you probably didn't do the backup/restore properly. Please explain exactly how you did the backup, exactly how you did the restore, and also what version of PSE. I am not aware of a "problem with backing up and restoring across different drives", as almost all backups require a different drive. There are bugs in folder location view which can pop up after ...

Edmund.... I have a P4 3GHz Dell machine with 4Gbytes of memory and I can run most things including Lightroom, Elements, PS CS without any problems. Not the fastest sprinter on the track but it doesn't throw a fit anymore than usual for WinXP. You might want to take alook in the Task Manager to see what's hogging the memory. Colin

Presuming the word art is on an otherwise-transparent layer, you could place a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer above it, then Group the two layers so that the adjustment will affect only the word art layer.
