Choosing injectors settings?
Published (2009-12-11 17:24:00)
Short answer: yes, the curves will be somewhat different even for the same manufacturer. If the injectors were exactly the same they would have the same flow rate also. Is it possible to run an engine using a battery offset curve that isn't 100% accurate? Yes. Will the engine run better with more accurate battery offset curves? Usually. The difference is most noticeable at small pulsewidths, for instance when idling or at light...

How exactly do you set the software up for this? And the wiring?

The battery offset curves are somewhat unique to each injector. For instance, a Bosch 750cc injector will require a slightly different battery offset curve than a Denso 750cc injector. If your injectors are not in the wizard, you can send them to AEM and we can add them to the wizard for you. More info here: http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.php/topic,46 19.0.html

start with AEM's base spark map, dont change it too much if your unsure of what your doing (dosnt take much to kill the motor with boost) always make 100% sure your car is good to go before tuneing, good gas, new plugs/propper gap, no bad grounds or connections as for your 15psi problem it could be lots of things, your description was kinda vauge. the best way is to post up your ...

So it sounds as though you've got it narrowed to a cylinder, so try swapping the injectors (and coils if so equipped) around and see if the dead cylinder follows the parts. Then you can narrow it down component-wise.

all big powered cars, except for the 7second drag DCR car, the factory coilpack works better. DCR uses individual blaster SS coils...which is pretty cool. we have been saying, for quite some time now, that that MSD coil is worthless. i heard somthing, at somepoint, thats its suppose to run on less than 12v, but our system runs 12v to it, which causes overdriving and eventually failure. ...

Email " Jay@N2MBracing.com " tell him Jake and Alan sent you. Let him know what you have and he can either get you one or point you in the right direction. also check out www.srtforums.com . There is a complete section for tuning with the AEM and there are base maps linked there as well.

Which map sensor and boost solenoid are you using? The dodge factory map sensor should plug into the stock location on the top of the intake manifold. If you are using the AEM 5bar map sensor, best bet is to make or buy an adapter to repace the factory map sensor. then you can use the stock wiring for the hook up. This is what i did. I also made a small aluminum adapter plate ...

With the Boost Solenoid you will use the same two wires that the stock solenoid used, the UEGO im ussuming you have a non uego aem, it will be the stock ecu harness that goes to the AEM since your only using the Mopar PCM for auxillary purposes.
