Has anybody been here, or know someone with advice or tips. We are looking to go this summer, and flights and accomodation seem fairly decent, and I've heard it's cheap as chips out there.

My sister went to Japan years ago doing the same thing. Found the Japs standoffish and introverted until you got them drunk, then they were a laugh. Can't remember who she went with, but didnt really enjoy the organisation she went with for some reason or another. Will try and find out who that was. Was supposed to be there for a year but came back after 6 months, homesick and missing her ex!
