You see more soldiers coming back from the war smoking. They know how fragile life is, and the little pleasure a smoke offers is no big deal. If you look at the big picture the extra few years you gain by not smoking is only available for a small number of people that don't die from war, crime, suicide, accidents, poison, etc. The pressures of life are only going to get worse as we move into the future. It seems like a good system, I don't know how much it would really cost to just send a message out to the surrounding areas. It could help to find the elderly person before something bad were to happen and it is only being used for the vulernable.

Finally , Someone is speaking out! What have they been waiting for? I am a therapist and its time the Skilled Nursing Facilities be allowed to do a good job! Current reimbursment has nearly toppled all the facilities I have worked in. Wake up Rell!

Personally I don't favor diluting a successful alert system. Why not use ankle bracelets or other locator device? They have them for kids - why not for at-risk adults, elderly or otherwise?

What a sad state of affairs The weakest in the population are preyed upon for monetary gain, and by their very relatives to boot. I wonder if it's just the baby boomers, or if this type of crime has been on the rise regardless.

It's horrible how Winter Park has "gentrified" that area and manage to displace many elderly, respectable residents that labored across the track for the wealthy who live on Park Avenue. They worked for pennies, with no SS or benefits and are now being forced out of their respectable homes.
