Y7 and Y8 have 20ish hours in Food Tech and cook once a week, 2 out of every five lessons for 60 mins. Y9 have
13 weeks and cook every week once for 60mins.

My classes have no computer access in lessons, nor have I had the training so combining some recipes from the website with some of the good old H.E. basic
cookery stuff.

You could have a look at middlex university on line - http://www.mutr.co.uk/ , they do sample packs of some of the
smart materials like the electro fabrics cheep, not enough for whole project but might spark a few ideas. They also do a thermo dyes which you can use with fabric paints a bit like those sweaty tshirts we all had in the 80s they change colour with temp changes.

I agree with you about the recycling machines! I also found the practical workshops run by DTEP who i believe are ex TEP people. The hydraulic
robot arm was heaving on friday and they have a new website where all the info will be.

I've had access to it - and to be honest I wasn't overly impressed. It was very general, and I like to place the theiry within a context I'm teaching
pupils rather than lecturing them on theory. Overall - a few nice pictures to use in my own work. Sorry!

You have to remeber that a single micro like a
PICAXE connot do more than one thing at a time. You will have to turn On or Off the lights before and after the sound commands. If you use a tune command with a whole string of notes you will not be able to,easily 'interrupt' the tune to flash the lights. Light On Note Command Light Off Next note Light On Next note etc etc If you ...
