I don't think its possible to have a natural cause outside of space time, because, causality relies on the dimension of time.
Physicists like Hawkins describe the universe as being like a
4 dimensional rugby ball, it has a "beginning" and an "end" but essentially it "just is" . The ends are more like edges.
Without time all you have is structure. perhaps our space time is an aspect of that ...
