I bought a new 2009 Touring about four months ago. Here's my opinion of the bluetooth and the navigation system. First, the bluetooth works fine. What annoys me is that any time I press ANY button on my phone while driving I get disconnected from the Handsfree Link system. I think that is a bit different as it mentioned "sliding door does not open" but my problem is about not fully closing. I'm guessing the assumption is that the same sensors and same issue is causing the issue of either not "opening" or not "closing" (as in my case). Either way...went to dealer yesterday and its not longer happening even though the "tech" did "nothing". We'll see if it...

Same downshifting issue on my 2009 with 5000 miles. This thing is a clunking noisy pos.... Taking it to the dealer next week.

Don't think ody's have lift kits available. Next time go with the Pilot. With that much snow don't think the extra on a Sienna would be that much help.

If you can wait till Jan 5, why not wait till February when the 2011 Sienna is hitting Toyota dealers lots. Newer technology and styling. YMMV. Especially since Honda isn't really dealing.

My 2002 transmission went at 182,000 kilometers (Camada) in 2007. I currently have 241,000 kms on it and hope to have it go 600,000 miles (965,000 kms). All service are at the Hoinda dealer whnere I bought it (not the one in my city). They give free labour on wiper blades and lamp replacements; and free rust spray (anytime I want it) on the rust on my doors at the rubber strip near the inside channel close to the mirrors. My Story: The reported noise arose after 15 months of ownership, very noticeable on right side of vehicle (passenger window down). I, too, was very worried about pinging and the potential damage to engine. Put high octane into tank to see if there would be a difference, but noted no change.
Brought to dealer to get the ping, exhaust drone, and couple other issues fixed. Got car back with...

I have read through many of these posts that the concern is that there is a problem with the transmission. I have a 2005 Odyssey w/ 105,000 miles. The van was vibrating when in ECO and would smooth out when I accelerated. The problem is the rear engine mount!!!! Look at this website:

We've noticed that ping (alarm) when we open the power sliding doors using the drivers control button and the passenger also opens it at the same time.I guess the door gets confused and waits for another signal before it opens.
I would guess with yours that somewhere there is something that should be on or off, up or down or in or out. Experiment.

I live in Philadephia. I've been asking local dealers for quotes on a 2007 odyssey ex-l without nav. So far the ebst quote I've gotten for a 36 month lease, 12000 miles/year and $1000 down is $403 a month. That just seems high to me. I have had the same problem with my 03 Odyssey. It's Christmas and the 4th bracket just broke this morning on our way to go sledding. It started with the a/c compressor going bad. Had it replaced with the timing belt. Then the a/c didn't work. Then the bracket broke. Had it replaced and the a/c apparently fixed. Both broke again. Fixed with promises everything is okay. Hello ,
I have a brand new 07 odysset EX-L. When I open the front windows about 2 to 3 inches down, sometimes I here a slight rattling sound, if the road is not very smooth. If the windows are closed I dont here any sound. Is this Normal.

The Ody is noiser, particularly in the back row, and thumps horribly over road cracks. The Sienna is considerably quieter - also uglier as you say, but a bit cheaper. Couple of thousand cheaper, at least used. Something about Honda's cult following, makes the Ody more popular. Inside, I prefer the Sienna.

The Touring has "better" speakers as well as the higher power and subwoofer. Have you really compared the two? I have the same system as you and I give it a 3 out of 10 and the Touring system a 5 out of 10. So in the scheme of things, they're both mediocre IMHO. The money you'd spend on upgrading to the Touring system could be much better spent on aftermarket parts that will sound MUCH better...

My 2006 Odyssey LX has the same knocking on a warm engine at 20mph uphill. Started at around 14k miles. Haven't talked to dealer yet. Quite worrisome. I haven't been able to find out any other info on the web except in this forum.
