if pala with max conviction, offensive skillers x 5 dream helm dream shield dragon armor HoJ (16fire aura wep) auradin still works when 2 x players got full inventory and i try give item to him but then get bug he cant get item and do this like 10 min ,,, when making this and use outside of town with convi still kill all

i installed d2
lod on my laptop and brought over the 1.09d.exe file from blizz's ftp site to patch. i tried to run the file and it said the version of game.exe installed was newer than the patch. i tried a few times, in different directories, with different disc sets, and after checking the registry for d2 entries & finding none. how do i fix?
