What all are you planning to cool? If you're not cooling a ton of things then a fan around 1500RPM will probably be decent. At around that speed most rads seem to perform about the same (in terms of heat dissipation). If you are cooling a lot, or want really low temps, then you're going to need high RPM fans (like 2k or more) and of course those are going to be a lot louder. CFM wise, it seems to me like most fans move about the...

You could always get 6 fans and do a push pull.

A switch?
Published (2009-12-01 14:14:00)
Has anyone ever seen a switch / knob to redirect flow of water? I want to extend my cooling loop outside of my case with an externally mounted rad, but I want it to be completely descrete. I just do not know what term I should be searched. I saw some dodgy ones at home depot... they did not look safe, a combo of steel + al = no go with copper, thank you very much.

Ahh see I just have 2 single pole double throw switches. So to even just do 12v to 7v, with no 5 volts involved I'm looking at either 2 SPDT or one DPDT? Hmmm alright. I can see how it all works on there. Thanks again for all the help. Too bad I can't get 12v to 7v on one SPDT.

If i read it correctly you want to cool your gfx and chipset? If so,i think you will need more than a 120 rad. I used to have the 120.2 rad with built in res, they save a lot of work trying to find a plce for a seperate res

Screenwash? As in windshield wiper fluid or something? Ummm... what? Why? Normally if you're going to use an automotive fluid it's anti-freeze which is heavily diluted down. Say under 10% anti-freeze to distilled water. Also, you really only need that if you're using mixed metals in your loop as it contains anti-corrosives. If you're not using mixed metals in your loop then just plain ...

if your wanting the rad now, get the XSPC RX as it's known to be good. but i don't think the reviews for ek's rads are out yet. but just looking at the rad it's very likely the same as the thermochill's, XSPX RX series, Black ice SR-1's, feser's.

Welcome, this won't be the best welcome you will get but a welcome none the less. you need more rad, put a double for the cpu loop and triple for the gpu loop. also ditch the coolant, it's not good stuff. the colour will fade as well as gunk up your loop. stick with plain distilled water and some silver or pt nuke. ( link to pt nuke ) have a read through this guide for some...
