For the price after Rebate, the Red PCP&C Silencer 750 is a great deal. Its $79.99 After Mail In Rebate, and $119.99 Before, so its a pretty good buy. If your not into the MIR thing, then the Corsair 750-TX would be your best bet. Waiting for the rebate though would get you a little cheaper price overall, but thats after weeks of waiting.

Black paint costs $15 more than red paint. There is no problem with the PCP&C 750. The unit has been on the market for a couple of years...

Why spend $70-$75 on that when he could just get a whole new good 750W PSU for $100? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006

here you go, you should be able to figure it out with this. http://www.smpspowersupply.com/ATX_p..._schematic.pdf Additional Comment: yes there is a way, the complicated part is getting it to turn on and off with the power/reset button. If you are willing to cut/splice wires i will tell you how...if you dont want the hassle, you already know how to spend money..also adding a ps to your case will add additional heat, please consider this...

Sure it can be done, the question is whether or not it's worth doing. I do understand though that you'll probably not want to throw away the money you put into the Dell, and yes, it's a shame. I'm just afraid that Dells aren't very suitable for high(er than stock) performance parts, let alone if you want to overclock them.

What PSU should I get for this customized Dell PC? I'm planning to order it with an nVidia GeForce 9800GT video card, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 640GB hard drive and a Sound BlasterĀ® X-Fi Xtreme Music PCI Soundcard. Should be real nice. Now that the guys have all their components and are doing their builds, it's time for me to start looking for mine. I've always heard that PC Power and Cooling was like the industry standard, beefy and bulletproof. When I look at the reviews however, there seems to be a very high percentage of DOAs. Each time, PCP&C blames rough handling, but...

NONE of the power supplies I've looked at over the past few days gives you sufficient connectors to run in TRI SLI, except, the Corsair 1000 Even the 1200's I've seen only supply enough for 2 card SLI???

What is the worse that can happen if a PSU doesnt have enough power to support a system? Ive heard the Albert dude off ComputerTV say that if it won't run it just try it first and then buy a new PSU. Just wondering??
