W3540 and EVGA 3X SLI Runs
Published (2009-11-26 03:43:00)
From the looks of it, I wont be getting any more boints with the 4670. Card can run 900/2300 in 3d06 and 3dvantage, but the others have to turn it down to 875/2200. 9600GSO goes in next to make sure it works, then the 285. Additional Comment: Just got Spi 1m at 4.9 Update first post with new pis and validation. Additional Comment: Took every gold with the 9600GSO at hwbot. Did a quick 285 run at 4ghz, 780/2800 and got just shy of 24k in 06.

I would say that anything over 65C is WAY too hot for that CPU, if those sensors are good, of course.

Unless you're going for ultra-cheap, there's no reason to not go with 1156 or 1366.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116264 Just came out a month or 2 ago, they needed something cheap that supported virtulization. The socket will be alive for awhile. Nothing is forever, and nothing is for very long with electronic gizmos.

Unless you've got some sort of chilled cooling, the temps are going to hold you back. Most people consider 1.45 the max safe.

Check my sig, and ironically enough mine was at stock for 2 years as well. I had it at 3.1 and it was mostly stable, I toned it down to 3.0 to get it just right and to keep the temps down. Not to mention the zalman will probably do a better job then my budget-push pin arctic cooler :P
