If you can't get into your bios try resetting your cmos. Turn off and unplug the pc then remove the cmos battery and leave it for an hour or so. Do you see anything on your screen when you turn the pc on? Could also be a ram problem

yeah, from the reviews they seem pretty great but then i go to like new egg and other forums and see a sh*t load of problems, I have a q6600, running 3.03 atm which I'm pretty sure I could get up on that. I want to go for it but a feel like I'm blowing 300$ just to get DDR3..

ASRock X58 Extreme, overclocking?
Published (2009-11-26 12:50:00)
yeah apparently it's cheaper BECAUSE they didn't buy that license. However it's almost identical to the P6T (non SE), which DOES support sli. I found a lovely little guide on how to cross flash the P6T SE's bios with the P6T to gain flawless SLI support that said the only decision I have now is to buy it new or try the "open box" on newegg.

X58 but who?

Well I wouldn't quite say pointless. Sure it's like going 30 in a Ferrari but hey, you still feel **** good. The only reason I'm aircooling is financial, in good time I'll be going 200 in my Ferrari. It's nice to know I have some serious power potential in my board. I'll be watercooling my NB/SB and Vreg plus CPU later for some serious overclocking. Until then I really like this board.

sounds like a hard drive problem. Did you want a board for the I5 or the Q9650? They are 2 different "sockets", the I5 is an 1156 socket and thw Q9650 is a 775 socket, so 2 different motherboards. Please try to describe the problem in a little more detail, maybe we can help you repair the rig that you have. The Q9650 is no slouch.

Are you sure that the motherboard is holding you back? I've got the UD3R and I've taken my 920 up to 4.6 with HT no problem. I don't know if it was 24 hours Prime stable, but it lasted a few hours of benching without any problems. I wouldn't bother getting a new motherboard unless you're absolutely certain that it's the motherboard that's holding you back. With i7 overclocking, 90% of it...

First off...is this a custom computer or is this a Dell or HP? Because they have their bios's locked down. if not you shouldn't have to update your bios to access overclocking abilities..just look around the bios you should be able to find what you need. What exactly are you missing?

First see how hot it gets, as some don't get too hot at all, throw your finger on it.. if it is a bit warm to touch consider the Thermalright HR-05 SLI heatsink (for extreme air cooling) - though I'm not sure on the availability anymore. - regardless when it was available (namely 939 days) it was an amazing sink - also high mentions goes to the (this one looks great, and will perform as much as ...

OC Dashboard The second thing I noticed about this board (and at first was quite disappointed) was the lack of an onboard debug LED. As it turns out, that (along with the Direct OC buttons) was integrated into the OC Dashboard. At first, I was wondering how useful this little device was going to be. I figured sure, it’ll be pretty cool for some people, but when am I actually going to ...
